This is my go-to spot whenever I'm in Larkspur! The food is amazing—it may be a little pricier for the area, but honestly, it's in line with comparable places outside of Larkspur. Plus, they have this awesome outdoor space with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the fresh air. At first, I thought it was a bit strange that the outdoor area was empty on such a sunny day. But as soon as we sat at the bar, everything clicked.
The bar is a u-shape, which is ideal. It means you can easily chat with anyone around you without shouting, and the atmosphere is the perfect balance of lively but not overwhelming. It’s one of those places where the energy feels just right. It’s super cozy, definitely has that neighborhood hangout vibe, which I adore.
But here's the best part: even if you're on the shy side or prefer to fly under the radar, you’ll still feel right at home. Just grab a seat at the edge or a quiet table, and you can enjoy the vibe without feeling overwhelmed. But trust me, you'll miss out on the heart and soul of the place—the people!
A huge shoutout to Amanda at the bar. Even though she was super busy with her own tables, she still took the time to smile and check in on us. That kind of attention and warmth is what makes this place stand out. It’s clear that the people here are what really make this spot so special. Honestly, I bet that’s why the outdoor area was quiet—everyone wants to be around the bar!
I really hope you enjoy your time here as much as I did. It's definitely a place I’ll keep...
Read moreWho would have thought that a restaurant, out of the way, in Larkspur, would be what the soul needs. As you walk in, if you are not a local, you get that immediate feeling that maybe I don't belong. Then...the atmosphere, clean decor, and staff quickly make you feel as if you are one od the locals, and you just got home. Now, don't let my words make you think you are eating at a local hole in the wall. This place is well built, clean, lit, and just great atmosphere. What good is atmosphere if the food is not good, right? I will say, forgo the chips and queso. We were worried as we started eating it. It was good but gave you the feeling you were eating canned nacho cheese with some stuff thrown in. Oh, so maybe this is a "dive" with great atmosphere. Well, then put came the Cuban sandwich and truffle fries! All concerns were erased! Having grown up in Florida and eating Cuban Sandwiches a lot... Colorado (more specifically Larkspur) just set the standard! The pork smelled and tasted as if it was cut and shredded directly from the pit for my Sandwich! The delightful Crunch of the outside of the bread and amazing flavor of the inside of the bread hit you! The mix of all the ingredients made me forget that I am off the road in a small town. Way to go cook and staff! You all are amazing and you do not want to drive past this place and not stop in! For sure...
Read moreThis place is the worst. I came here once, a month ago and was told to leave because they were on "a break" even though stated they were open between certain times online. Came back again to give them another chance and did not have a good experience. The same woman from the first time, older with short grey curly hair, was rolling her eyes mad that we came in to give her service despite the lack of business and slowness in the restaurant already. We had a group of people coming and so needed more than just a four person table. We preceded to merge tables so the servers didn't have to worry about it yet the same older woman cursed towards us about how we need to eff'n ask before people move "her" tables. First sign to leave right away. Unfortunately didn't trust my gut feeling. Same woman was rude and spiteful the entire time we stayed glaring at us. We didn't get our food until an hour and a half later than ordered with a table of two and a table of four that already had their to go boxes. Why this place is...
