The service is HORRIBLE!!!!. While some dishes are good the service is ridiculously bad. We came with our family a total of 6 people. Our dishes were brought out 2 at a time over the course of 1 hour, so yes only 2 of us were able to eat at a time. When asking the waitress what was going on she admitted that she placed the food on two different tickets which meant it was ultimately her mistake. Even with her admitting her mistake nothing was done to alleviate the situation. The food continued to come 2 at a time. It made the dining experience incredibly uncomfortable and some of us were forced to eat our food to avoid it getting cold, while the rest of us waited. We had to ask for things like napkins, refills multiple times before actually getting them. It was incredibly frustrating seeing tables that arrived way later than us getting their dishes while we had to sit and wait for our food. One of the orders was a cold dish, the ceviche, and it was still the second to last dish to arrive. The food quality is not worth that wait. To make matters worse, when one of the dishes arrived it was wrong! We ordered a chivo birria and they brought us the combination plate which was not was we had said. The red pozole was pale and flavorless. The mixed fajitas were a joke as they were incredibly dry and the meat portion was no more than 1 cup of meat and peppers. The cantarito tasted just like pineapple juice nothing else, couldn’t take the Tequila or any of the other ingredients it was supposed to have. The only thing that was good was the Chivo Birria but in no way would I recommend you come here, even if it’s just for that. Tik Tok recommendation FAIL. The food looks nothing like what’s shown in the video or even on the photos they display on their TVs inside the restaurant. It’s quite laughable the food that you get served. The whole experience felt like a sick joke, as even the crappiest places I’ve been have the common decency of bringing the food of a group all out at...

Not one of the reasons most visit Sin City, but if you're in town craving some Mexican other than tacos and enchiladas...give it a try!
Let's start with the joint...SUPER traditional spot with a lively rancho feel and atmosphere. Lots of lively color and music to set the tone!
Service is on point. Waiters are super friendly and attentive.
House specialty is the Barbacoa. Normally, I try the house specialty to see if they stand up to their advertisement, but this time, I was feeling the Birria, so we dove into that...
The birria did not disappoint 👏 😁
Ordered a combination that comes with beans, rice, and salad. Portion was ok. Tbh, I expected more considering the price. But any more, and I would have had to be barreled out, so it was just right 😅
Also ordered the Mango Margarita...a Def must try if margaritas are your thing.
The menu is decent and varied, which is great for repeat visits.
Price is a bit more relative to portions and overall experience, but then again, it is LV, so we deal with it.
On the downside, one of my beliefs is that any place that can't get the basics down correctly is usually not a good sign....
Case in point...Chips and Salsa. Doesn't get any more basic than that...it's a tone setter.
I've never tasted cardboard, but if I had it, it would probably taste better than the chips I was served. It was a bummer to begin with, but I remained positive.
That said, it definitely made a difference when it came to me ordering the guacamole. At $11 for guacamole, I couldn't even imagine having guacamole on cardboard, so that was a hard no for me. Maybe it was me, but you have been warned...see for yourself 👀🤷
All in all, Casa Tlaquepaque was a decent experience and a change away from the norm in Vegas, which was good.
So check it out! It may just be your type of...
Read moreThe restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived. We were sat promptly even though we had a party of 10. The servers were a bit disorganized, it took us several attempts to get a high chair for my grandson and 2 attempts to bring us waters for everyone and napkins. They start with complimentary chips and salsa but the chips were a bit stale and each portion was not sufficient for our large group so we asked for a couple more baskets. We had seen some pictures of the menu but quickly realized that they scaled down the menu. The whole fried fish was not on the menu but we asked of they could still provide it and they did. The oysters were a solid 7, good but not as fresh as I would've liked. I didn't take a picture but we ordered 2 quesabirria taco orders which were very tasty. The consome however is on the side at an additional charge. The tacos tapatios were tasty. The barbacoa was good but wasn't pleased with how dry it was though the flavor was decent. The horchata de fresa I ordered was pretty delicious, you can tell it's made it house and not made from concentrate.
Overall a solid 3 stars, decent food with good flavor but nothing to go out of...
