Fajitas Mexican Restaurant 252 3rd St LaSalle IL 61301

Fajita’s Mexican Restaurant offers an all you can eat buffet Monday through Saturday from 11am until 3pm. This was my first ever Mexican Buffet, I know it’s hard to believe but true. I am not big on buffets maybe it’s because of my OCD for not wanting to handle serving spoons last touched by some guy that I have no idea where his hands have been in front of me. However it’s my job and I have to man up and do it.

Alright the place isn’t extraordinary inside or outside in appearance but who cares. I am here to gorge myself and be napping by 2 pm. The staff was very friendly especially the girl from England. That’s right, from England, I know I was surprised too. They have a really nice selection to choose from, many of your faves are here. I started off with a beef enchilada, a mini steak burrito and some rice and beans. The enchilada is delicious. The meat is well seasoned with a righteous amount of cheese and an excellent sauce. The burrito is really good as well especially if you top it off with the red hot sauce in the clear ketchup bottle. The hot sauce has a smoky flavor with some decent heat. Next I had green chili pork. The pork is muy tender and the sauce is green chili with a little bit of heat and a perfect kiss of pineapple. Then I had two tacos one ground beef and one chicken and again everything was well seasoned and wonderful. Also they keep the food hot! You must complete your gluttonous lunch feast with the Pistachio Pudding. There’s some pineapple, cool whip, pistachios and I think some finely chopped up marshmallows in there. It is a delicious way to finish off your meal.

According To The Big Food Jerk.

For $9.99 it’s an all you can eat lunchtime fat kid Mexican goodie treat bonanza!...

This used to be one of my favorite places. The lengua tacos were amazing. Notice the past tense. Prices have gone ridiculously high. I still have hope for the lunch buffet. That is always good, but I’m done ordering off the menu. $10 for a measly amount of American cheese & chorizo. I can make it at home. It’s not THAT special! Update: just recently thought I would try them again because I’ve always loved their lengua better than the only other 2 places I can get it in the area. I paid $28 for 4 tacos simply because I asked for extra cilantro & onions. If anywhere were to charge for something like that in my personal opinion it’s so cheap it’s nearly free I would assume maybe .25 - .50 a taco. They charged me a dollar for each! Not together, each extra onion on a taco & each extra cilantro on a taco. I get that extra can be extra but when it’s something that is so extremely cheap to purchase in the first place (yes, even for a restaurant) I CANNOT believe they would tack on such a high fee! Without telling me to boot or I would not have ordered it! Just want to make sure everyone knows they’re nickel & diming to...

While picking up a door dash Thursday evening, not only was the restaurant extremely hot inside as if the heat was on, but they were tearing up the floor in the entrance, which fine I get it, but don't do it while a customer is standing at the register. The broken tile flew all over my feet & I was wearing slides & yes I've found several cuts on my toes from this incident. I'm not upset about it or anything, only posting this review to let them know to be a little more respectful of your customers & maybe wait till they move to continue working, the next person might not be so understanding. Accidents happen, I'm well aware that it wasn't done on purpose or anything, it was nothing more than an accident, I would suggest next time Wait to prevent this kind of accident from happening! Otherwise I love this restaurant, their food is amazing & the workers are always smiling &...

We were in the area for the LaSalle Christmas lights, and stopped here on our way home. The exterior of the restaurant itself is larger, but unassuming. Once you walk in, you'll see the common color schemes you would expect in a casual Mexican restaurant. Service was fast and friendly, but the signs posting the 3.5% credit card fee are numerous. The food itself was authentic and done in a rustic, and plentiful way. I had the bistec a la mexicana, which I found to be very flavorful. My critiques would be that I wish there were more jalapenos and the sauce was just a bit thicker. Side from that, I couldn't have asked for more. I recommend starting with the tamal appetizer, 4 full sized tamales to get your appetite warmed up. Definitely will stop again if the opportunity arises.

Evidently I showed up about 10 minutes before closing. The gentleman was just about to lock up. But I was told they could make an order for takeout. I got a chicken burrito dinner with beans N rice. Added a side of guacamole. Bill was $19 and change for this tho. Ninas is about 14. So I was taken back a bit there. The flavor of the burrito was incredible ☆☆☆☆☆ Beans were pretty good ☆☆☆☆ Rice was ok, but could use a lil more flavor ☆☆☆ The guacamole was surprisingly bland for an authentic Mexican restaurant ☆ 4 stars total is taking into account the kind gentleman that let me order. Otherwise the food would be a 3. I won't go back again to spend 20 dollars on a single meal for myself tho. 14-15 would be a more acceptable price point.
