Sanctuary — Restaurant in LaSalle

Sanctuary is that bar that you can come in as you are.. you could be looking pretty after an event... or you just got out of a 10-hour construction job, it's fine! You'd be welcomed.

Some people judge it by its aesthetics. I get it, it might not be for you. But hey, some actually like it. If the place is not for you, then it's not for you. There's Sportsman, RePhils, SpeakEasy, Club 55 and Backstreet. No need to bad mouth the bar you don't vibe with. What irks me more is the wishing that the business closes. Someone invested real money for that place. That space would have been empty if it weren't occupied by Sanctuary. That business give jobs to a lot of people. That business pays taxes and permits towards the city too. You know, I wish Sanctuary does well, so they can make the improvements and make the place better.

Finally, that bar, Sanctuary, is a safe haven for people who just wants to have a good time without being judged for who they are....

This place is grodyyyyyyy! The atmosphere is gross, the interior is gross, pretty much everything about it is gross. The owner tries really hard to be cool and alternative and instead it just comes across as really cheap and scummy. (Anarchy? Soooooooooooo edgy, lmao.) It attracts exactly the crowd you'd think it would which is why most people won't step foot in it. It's "Accountability Angel's" favorite bar, if that tells you anything, lol. I look forward to the day it closes so downtown La Salle can continue to improve and...

Try it on a friday or saturday night, and be sure to ask about events because there is a MASSIVE ballroom in the back that isn’t in use on a normal day of the week. Always have specials going on, one of the best pool tables on first street, and the atmosphere is very different. A similar vibe to Three Floyds.
