An Absolute Gem – A Flavorful Journey at The Curry Corner in Manteca!

From the moment I walked into The Curry Corner, I knew I was in for something special. The warm, inviting aroma of rich spices hit me the second I opened the door, and the cozy ambiance—complete with traditional Indian décor and soft instrumental music—set the perfect tone for the evening.

We started with the vegetable samosas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and filled with a well-spiced, hearty potato and pea mixture inside.

For the main course, we ordered the butter chicken, lamb, and paneer, along with garlic naan and basmati rice. Each dish was a standout in its own right. The butter chicken was creamy, slightly smoky, and had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. generous chunks of soft paneer in a tangy, tomato-based sauce that paired beautifully with the naan.

What really impressed me was the attention to detail and the freshness of the ingredients. The spices didn’t overpower—they elevated. The naan came out hot and fluffy, with just the right amount of char, and the rice was light and aromatic with a hint of saffron.

Service was another highlight. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive without being intrusive, and happy to explain dishes or offer suggestions. You could tell they genuinely cared about the food they were serving and the experience they were providing.

Whether you're a longtime lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, The Curry Corner is a must-visit. This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a culinary experience that takes your taste buds on a trip to India. I can't wait to go back and try more...

Pros:

  1. Easy take out counter
  2. food was okay. Wasn’t wow, but wasn’t bad. I did notice that the meat tasted fresh. I got Chicken Bryiani and Curry Goat, there was almost no grease in the goat. Was impressed by that! 3)presentation of the food was nice
  3. friendly workers
  4. Price is very good

Cons:

  1. mango lassie was premade
  2. Mild has no heat. Kind of my own fault because I asked if mild was hot and he said no. I’m not sure how the spicy is, but most Indian joints I go to it’s either hot or delicious inferno. So if you’re wanting any heat maybe get the spicy and hope it’s not like insane spicy. 3)the rice pudding and the yogurt were practically water. I know that those items are normally not super thick but I mean it was actually like water. I couldn’t even use the yogurt to dip or as a sauce. I drank my rice pudding. It was tasty, but not a pudding consistency.

Went here yesterday for the 1st time. I ordered butter chicken, and it was the best one I had ever had. Perfect curry! Good amount of chicken sliced and not given frozen big chunks. And their mango salii drink is the BOMB! Their mango drink is by far the best tastes besides stockton other Indian cuisne. Must have! So delicious. I wish they had a bigger cup! The prices were reasonable for their sizes. Even the drink.

Service wise? They could use an extra person or two. It was packed around 10-11a.m. we waited about 35 minutes for my order. BUTTER CHICKEN, PANEER PARATHA CUST BREAD X2 AND...

Absolutely phenomenal food. I ordered the goat curry with the butter naan and mango lassi. The entrance to this place is a little confusing off of Google maps, but just know that the front door is right beside the front entrance to the Extra Mile truck rest stop. The goat curry was incredibly delicious. Wonderful spices with a tender meat that was falling off the bone. So flavorful! It went really well with the butter naan, which was not too salty. And of course, the mango lassi was smooth and delicious. Absolutely delicious food, some of the best Indian food I've tried so far in the valley.

This place is now has new name “Dhaba Express”. Food is great. Very clean place with small but enough menu made freshly. This is like a quick indian food stop at Gas Station. They do have some outdoor seating in Tent. We have tried Chicken curry, Egg Bhurji and Saag Paneer so far. All are great! Tava roti is the BEST! Panner paratha is also recommended. Curd given with Paratha felt freshly made at this location and has Indian home-made curd consistency. Definitely recommend this place.
