From the moment We arrived we were greeted by the Hilarious Christopher, who is sure to make you smile, Followed by Our server Gabby who let me just tell You, has a Heart of Gold Like Few You’ll ever meet, she’s got a love of Her family, and the people she serves, There’s really a commonality there between all of the people I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting, Including Carmen, The gentle giant who has a Heart of gold combined with a Love of those He serves, as a well recognized Chef, I can tell you one thing, He’s got talent to spare!
Their unspoken family secret besides their knockout original recipes is their willingness to do what others won’t when it comes to continually trying to improve, share, and create which is something A business as popular and competitively ranked as the top taste in all of Latrobe could just as easily coast on their successes, But no, not this family, They’re Far better and More caring than that, Honestly, I could spend all Afternoon Recalling one thing after the other after the other that I Loved about this Fine Restaurant and The Family who Runs it, But It would only keep You from getting in there sooner, so, Before I talk about the food, I just wanted to say This family is of the Most Generously kind, Genuinely Good Hearted, Down to Earth families you could ever be proud to support and give your business to, Because their talent, kindhearted efforts, warm welcome, and quality time they’ll spend with anyone to treat you like a part of this incredible family, is an unparalleled gift that No other restaurant I’ve been has felt as warm, genuine, or effortless
One last thing, The Food! From the moment My Nose carried me in the door like one of those old cartoons that shows a Hungry patron being led by their nose in from the outside, I could see A full house of Happy, Smiling Carmine’s fans, Full plates, generous portions, And Low prices written on their special boards and menus, each plate that passed me looked one step better than the last, I stopped to photograph it all so I could remember what I wanted to try in my future visits and social media reviews I want to share with my fans!, I encourage you to do the same! The Salad Dressing is a local favorite, I had to try it and Picked up several bottles to take home with me, Their Side salad is the best around with an assortment of Fresh, crisp Veggies, The Calzones are unbelievable with Gossamer thin crust, stuffed with delicious ingredients and Full of flavor, The Big Ragu sandwich was, as two people at Our table Agreed “The Best Sandwich We’ve ever had” the Chicken parm should be called “Chicken Parm to Feed an Arm-y!!!!” It’s huge, And their famous “Pittsburgh Style Pizza” was the single best pizza I’ve ever had that was loaded with Sausage and pepperoni I loved it all and won’t forget each moment with this Beautifully kind Family, or the memory of their Family Recipes that will remain with me as they’ve set the bar for what Italian Food “Should Be” Thank You Carmine’s, I wish You and all Who enter the very best Health, Happiness, Warm Memories, Returned Rewards, and Rich Blessings of Success!

….This family is Phenomenal! Such incredibly special Souls, You couldn’t support a kinder, funnier, more deserving family than the one right Here, their work is as beautiful as their kindness and quality in what they serve, Trust me, This is the Single Best Pizza I’ve ever had in My Life, You’ve got to Order this Chef’s Favorite (Trust Me, My Soup was served at the Queens Estate 2016 Christmas Jubilee) if You Love Pizza, Get My Fav, Pepperoni, Bacon, and Sausage, Their sausage is homemade and when they told me how it’s done, I’ve never in My Life Heard of anyone putting that much work into An Ingredient much less their entire menu and it’s because of one thing, their love and respect of Family and their customer, out of all the restaurants and pizza places There are, This is by far the Single best pizza I’ve ever had, and by one of My Most Favorite families who I know the second you meet any one of them, You’ll love one as much as the next!

You really need your own show, There are so many people on television who couldn’t even come up to your shoelaces, I will never forget the “Fried Fish sandwich syndrome analogy!!!!” You’ve got The Best family, Food, and Atmosphere that any man would be so proud to look over and see his life well lived through the sense of family, food, and community you’ve built! Read moreMy granddaughter and I stopped in hoping to have a good Italian dinner after a cold day outside with a friend in the Ligonier area. (I think my first clue should have been the fake grated Parmesan cheese on the table.) We asked our server what the best dish was, and were told “Everything is good here!” We ordered 2 apps which were so-so at best, but we were starving and so we ate some of it. Fried zucchini (tasted like it was cooked in very old grease), and garlic knots, which I thought were filled with cheese, but turned out the dough just wasn’t cooked in the middle. I went with a salad and my granddaughter ordered fettuccine with garlic and olive oil. She took two bites, and couldn’t eat anymore. I tasted it and understood why. Worst pasta ever. Our server (who upon our arrival evened our wobbly table legs with her bare hands, touching the dirty floor), asked if we wanted to-go boxes and we said we did not. Told her we didn’t care for the food, and she never apologized, offered to get something else, or take some money off the nearly $40 bill! Despite this being a true “first world problem,” I just felt it was necessary to give this place an honest review. Others there seemed to be enjoying the pizza.
