Jailbreak is a cool spot with a fun ambience, good food, decent beer and shuffleboard too! I'd highly recommend going here if you're looking for a nice date spot, a place to catch up with a friend, a space that can accommodate a large group, or are starting to expand your beer palette.
If you're really really into beer, then I would recommend checking out Hysteria instead. It's nearby and has better beer. To be honest, the beer at Jailbreak is mostly okay with a couple great outliers, like Special Lady Friend.
I really like that they offer food here. But, I really wish they would label their vegan options and better educate staff on vegan options. 25% of people under age 35 in the US are vegan. 10% of people of all ages in the US are vegetarian. I'm willing to bet that the 21-35 market is a key customer base for Jailbreak. And if it is, then they really should consider more vegan options, or at the very least better labeling.
I had a frustrating time at Jailbreak during my last visit. The staff weren't familiar with the new menu, and I practically had to beg them to check with the kitchen to find out if a couple of different options were vegan or could be made vegan. Then they messed up my order and included bell peppers. I was really clear in expressing my allergy to bell peppers when I ordered and even asked the person taking my order to make sure there was a note about it (because he seemed uncertain about whether they were present, and I didn't want to deal with a similar fiasco as sorting out what was vegan).
I have been to Jailbreak 3 times. I'd give the beer 3-4 stars for all visits, and the food and overall experience as 5 stars the first two visits and 3 stars...
Read moreWe threw our wedding reception at Jailbreak, hosting about 110 people. We hired a band (Bachelor Boys), rented a 30x30 tent outside, 6 8-person tables for the tent, and had Jeno's steaks cater the event (they will work with any caterer). They also made a custom beer for us (Strawberry Guava IPA)
The event could not have gone better. And I mean that emphatically. Elizabeth, the event coordinator, is absolutely fantastic. Our families were raving about how helpful she was, even in the last moments and getting the little details done the night before.
The atmosphere and decor of the brewery meant we had to decorate very little, and the taproom has a natural dance floor (once the couches are removed). We had some unique photo ops because they allowed us to use the whole facility, including the production areas.
They even let us enter from the rear of the building, so that we could make our entrance without being seen ahead of time.
Bathroom facilities were more than adequate for our crowd, and the whole facility is ADA compliant (which was important for us).
If you're like us, and you care more about everyone having a good time, rather than tradition, consider this for your next shindig.
The only drawback was that at the time their alcohol license only allowed for serving beer (so no wine, cider, or liquor). They are opening a restaurant side soon, so that won't be an issue in the future, so we won't dock them any points for that. The custom beer was a nice touch, despite not having champagne for the event, and actually considerably cheaper. Plus the beer turned out AMAZINGLY.

Read moreVisited this place over the weekend. Upon entering, the ambience seemed pretty cool. The sitting area is wide open, with good lighting, and it’s clean. Plus, there’s a cool picture window view of the brewing area and equipment. But then, when you actually get down to the business of why you came...to drink and eat...the layout and set-up seems off. Maybe it’s related to alcohol licensing, but you have to get your drinks and food in two different places, making you add steps to your fitness tracker when you really came to chill with your friends. And yes, there aren’t any servers, so anything you want you have to get up from your table and retrieve yourself. This may be good if you’re worried about the calories... Also, there’s a little sitting area in the middle of the place where there were what seemed like two families with their little toddlers playing with toys. This seemed a bit off in a place of drinking...is this a bar or a family restaurant where you can drink beer? I think that prt hasn’t been resolved. The beer was decent-good variety to choose from. I stuck with the White Russian all night and tasted most of the others. The food was decent but nothing stood out, priced similar to any other restaurant you’d go to. The staff was friendly and the clientele were too. I gave this place three stars because of the cool picture view, the nice staff, and the friendly clientele. Good place to go with the family if you’re not looking for anything spectacular but just a decent place to hang, talk, and drink some beer. Not recommended if you want to sit on your tuckus...
