pi's deli — Restaurant in Laurel

I’ve been coming to this place for 7 years and they have always delivered great food, great breakfast and customer service. I’ve never had an issue until today. Today, I placed a uber eats order and it does not let you modify the toppings on your sub or add notes so you have to select it as is and call to make changes. The only change was not to Add MAYO and the guy repeated told me he could not change the order and we would have to pick up our order instead if I wanted my sub with no Mayo. The order was still being submitted while we were talking on the phone so it’s no way it was already made that quick. He refused to not add mayo and told me we have to let him know the next time which is what I was doing by calling! After going back and forth for several minutes and being told “I keep saying the same thing”…and after spending $40, I canceled my order due to the rude guy that made ordering so difficult! Be prepared for a battle if you want a topping left off!...

I had never heard of this place before. I asked a friend where can she recommend a place for a breakfast platter. I don't like commercialized breakfast, so I was looking for something more authentic. I doordashed a "french toast platter" that came with two eggs, patted sausage and 3 french toast which were cut in half making it 6 half slices. I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take a picture lol. They put a nice helping of cinnamon on top. This is the first and only place that I have found to make french toast the right way. Most places give you slices of bread the size of a computer monitor and thick as a four layer cake smh Most places over do it. My eggs tasted as if I scrambled it. I will definitely or again. Pi's deli has fantastic food, especially their cheesesteaks! I am especially fond of their chicken cheesesteak since I cannot eat red meat anymore. It tastes just as good! I always get their combo which comes with fresh cut fries and a fountain soda. When you walk in you go back in time just a little bit.The walls have records on them and old advertisements there's a checkered floor and tables to where you can sit and eat your meal. Second to their cheesesteaks I highly recommend their breakfast sandwiches! The folks that run this place are very kind and service is always...
