In the quaint heart of our town, there lies a culinary jewel known as Vic's, a place where the art of biscuitry is not merely practiced but perfected. Upon entering, one is immediately enveloped by the warm embrace of buttery aromas, a prelude to the symphony of flavors that awaits.

The biscuits, oh the biscuits! Each one is a testament to the craft of baking, made from scratch with a tenderness that could only be achieved by the hands of a devoted artisan. They are the very embodiment of comfort, with a golden crust that breaks with a satisfying snap, revealing a fluffy interior that seems to whisper tales of home and hearth.

To dine at Vic's is to partake in a feast for the senses, where every morsel is a brushstroke on the canvas of culinary delight. It is a place where time slows, and the world outside fades to a distant hum, allowing one to savor the simple yet profound pleasure of a meal made with care and served with pride.

In the immortal words of Mark Twain, "The secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside." Well, if success is measured by the satisfaction of one's palate, then Vic's is the very definition of triumph. Five stars, without a shadow of a doubt, for this bastion of biscuits and beacon of Southern...

UPDATE... I decided to try again ... while I was trying to enjoy my bacon egg and cheese biscuit i turned the biscuit over to discover nastiness . So the biscuit had flours crusted up on it! UNACCEPTABLE

Use to love getting up early to have Vic's biscuits and gravy. My husband use to enjoy the grits bowls. Now it's a 30 minute wait in the drive thru wasting 3 bucks worth of gas to get nasty rude employees that seem to hate their jobs, watery grits, over scrambled eggs and half raw bacon. The sausage gravy I could've sucked threw a straw. The tots were under cooked and the girl that handed out our order was rude when I asked for some extra pepper packs and then handed me 4 little packs. Y'all need to hire some folks that want to work. I arrived in the drive thru at 842am I finally recieve my order at 904 am and a gallon of gas later. I wish I could post the pic of these awful grits. Actually it is more like grit...

Probably won't visit here again, especially dining in.. Who wants to eat off of plastic plates when you do decide to splurge and eat out. The food was decent but nothing to get excited over. My appetite was probably dampened when I was charged $2.49 for a cup of water. I even asked the cashier about it and she just brushed me off and said "you said you wanted a medium drink, didn't you?" I said I wanted some water with a slice of lemon, thinking I was going to get a glass! Not. The cashier made no attempt to give me my money back or an adjustment to my bill. I won't forget that Styrofoam cup of ice water. Like I said the food was ok. I ordered 2 eggs over easy and the yolk was busted in one of my eggs and I had ham which was a very small half of slice. Alot of people brag on this place but it has got to be the soul food because it is definitely not...

Visited Laurel recently and per the mostly favorable reviews we decided to give Vics a try. Not real impressed, honestly. The good: service, sausage and biscuits. The place was not as clean as a food establishment should be, ESPECIALLY the bathrooms. We went early in the morning, they should have been spotless. Also, a large cheese grits is $2.33 and is nothing more than a scoop of white grits with a slice of American cheese on top, as pictured. Food was served on cheap Styrofoam plates with cheap plastic ware. Maybe this is just how it is but after all the hype, we expected more.

We ordered the ā€œFeastā€ for Thanksgiving and we were very disappointed. The fried turkey was so over cooked it wasn’t edible. The legs were so hard, there was nothing we could do with them. The sweet potato casserole was not a casserole. The dressing was extremely dry and tasteless. Vic’s food is usually very good, but… So much for a thanksgiving meal. ā˜¹ļø
