I waited to write the review thinking we just had an off experience and maybe they had run out of their usual ingredients, but now see recent pics that say our food was the same as everyone else's, which is disappointing. We ordered the iced croissants, which are good. Sweet, but good if you're a fan of Krispy Kreme style icing. That was probably the best thing we had. We also ordered club sandwiches and broccoli cheddar soup. There was very little broccoli in the soup, so you're basically paying for a bowl of cheese soup. The club was the most disappointing part. I grew up on sandwiches made with cheap ingredients, and this sandwich was made with the cheapest ingredients, but came with a premium price. The ham and turkey is the thick sliced rectangle loaf kind made with questionable ingredients that you get from the Piggly Wiggly across the street that I ate 30 years ago (the cheap kind they use to put on sandwiches they'd hand out at field trips in the 90s). The bacon was the paper thin microwavable kind. For the price, quality ingredients are needed. If you're going to use cheap meat, at least get the thin kind that you can layer and give it the appearance of looking fancy. I don't think I'd eat anything here again, but may go for the iced croissants if they happen to have them when we're in town. Service was incredibly slow. We got our food before we even got our cups of water. The cashier was also making the drinks and she chose to take the orders of many people before doing the drinks. So we had to eat without anything to drink for a while. They really need more help or at least a better process. This is a relatively new cafe in a city that desperately needs this type of thing. This is my hometown, but I haven't lived there for 24 years and only visit family a few times a year. So I really wish the owners the best and hope they can make improvements so this restaurant sticks around. It seems they're mostly catering to locals who maybe don't experience better as part of their daily lives and accept this for what it is. But for those of us who live in a metropolitan area and experience great food on a daily basis, this just isn't appealing or up to the standards of other restaurants who charge the same for 10x...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe coffee was a perfect balance of rich, bold flavors.....deep, smooth, and complex. It made every sip a delightful journey. The coffee I ordered was a Caramel Iced variant and I told the Barista to "surprise me" with some added details. My wife ordered a boba that offered chewy, sweet bubbles with just the right amount of refreshment and subtle sweetness, perfectly complementing the Vanilla Chai flavour in which she chose.
But the true star was the breakfast sandwich. A tender egg with a perfectly cooked sausage and bacon, all encased in a buttery Croissant, which was elevated by a surprising twist was a savory jam instead of butter or something of the norm. The jam added a delightful sweet and earthy contrast, balancing the richness of the sandwich in a way I never expected. An absolutely exceptional breakfast...

I tried the taro boba milk and knew I'll never drink a taro boba milk ever again because it tastes like soggy ceral. My friends told me it's good so maybe it's just one of those things that aren't for me. The drink was pretty at least, and the ice looked normal.
The chicken salad was amazing though, I loved it. Came in a neat little container, and was delicious. It was the perfect serving, will come back for the chicken salad because it was very good.
Got a crossiant for my mom, she said it's nice.
There's lots of pretty and wrapped treats ready at the counter, so that's convenient. My favorite thing about the food is that it's neat and looks...
