Auntie Em's Deli & Bakery — Restaurant in Lawrence

Not the most favorible experience,I went there with my partner from work we were dressed in work clothes, engaged in conversation with the lady there (possibly the owner),to see what options they have since we never been there and are from different cultures,(Puerto Rican) and Dominican) but we love delis and the sandwiches they offer ,we always travel and work across the country from small towns to major cities nation wide,however she told us said she felt uncomfortable with us there,I really don't understand why ,we were just listening to her and her listening to us,we were just standing there listening and about to order. I kindly asked what was wrong,she said that something was wrong with my partner that made her feel uncomfortable,but he was just listening to her like I was,and we were both in work clothes, just trying to find breakfast..we left hungry,I will no longer go to this place,bad experience for me and my partner.i truly hope everyone who goes here loves the food and is treated fairly,and not like we...

We had a really tasty lunch at Auntie Em’s during a brief stop in Lawrence today. The owner was very friendly & helpful with recommendations. We shared the cold turkey club, reuben, fried bologna sandwiches, potato salad & chips. Each sandwich was so good, made with delicious bread, high quality meat & cheese, and fresh produce. My husband loves a good reuben sandwich and I heard this location had the best. I stopped by here to grab one for him after he had a rough day at work. I also picked up a cherry pie and a lemon cake, along with pickled eggs and pickled beets. Everything we ate was perfect and so fresh!
