Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lawton

I personally love Popeyes chicken. Their chicken is great. However they have been pretty inconsistent in this location on providing fresh and hot chicken. It's been a 50/50 experience for me. Some days they nailed it and provide great juicy and hot chicken. But other days they just serve you whatever is left in their basket, leaving you with and unpleasant surprise of cold, greasy chicken (Who likes cold, greasy chicken?).

I completely blame the staff for that. I have had to go inside after picking up at the window to let them know about the bad experience and have ask the fo fresh and hot chicken (They give me the look, seriously!!!) Yes! Seriously

These restaurant chains need to understand that if we take the time to drive up to their restaurants, spend our hard earned money, at the minimum we expect great service and hot juicy chicken (Not whatever is left over...

I’m not sure why I still go here. I went last night because I decided it would be cheaper than in town even if it does take an age for them to make chicken. I always order the 16 piece. Sometimes it comes out in a timely manner. More often it doesn’t. Last night I ordered around 6:30PM. They asked me to pull over to the drive through parking spot, but assured me the chicken would be fresh. After that, two more people parked near me waiting. By 7 PM, the people who parked after me already had their food and left. About five minutes later they brought me mine. The chicken was fresh! The shrimp was okay, but instead of two family mashed potatoes and one red beans and rice, I got three single scoops of potatoes, four single red beans and rice, and two single tubs of the funkiest smelling green rice I’ve ever seen. I love Popeyes! I thought I would have to give it up when I started my vegetarian lifestyle which I switched to a pescetarian lifestyle but I didn't have to because they have a large selection of sides that even as a vegetarian I could eat and as a pescetarian, they have Cajun fish that is so delicious! I eat here at least once a week. Sometimes I eat the fish plain and sometimes I order a plain bun and make it into a sandwich! Either way I get it and no matter what combination of sides I get (because I love them all) it tastes great.
