I went through the drive thru of this McDonald's a couple of weeks ago. I pulled up and a young man asked what could he get for me this evening. I honestly wasn't sure because I'm tired of the same stuff. While I was looking at the menu I told the young man to give me a sec. I asked how his evening was going, he replied it was going great. I responded with that's fabulous. I then asked him what he recommended as I seen a couple of new items on the board. All of a sudden some guy got on the intercom and said "you can either order something right now or get out of my drive thru". I was in total shock!!! If one of my employees ever treated one of our customers this way, he would not have a job tomorrow. I said "all I was asking is if the young man has any recommendations". No response. So I ordered online really quick and said ok I have a code, it is.... Still nothing....I asked if he got the code... Nothing.... I said "ok, I gave you my code I'm pulling around to the window now"..... Still no response. I said"thank you " and I pulled forward to pick up my food. I thanked the young man at the window and I drove off in total shock. It made me upset because all I did was ask for a recommendation and I get told to order or get out of "his" drive thru. I pulled away into a spot to make sure my order was correct. There were 9 chicken nuggets instead of ten, my daughters Big Mack was in the bag sideways.... What a mess.... This visit was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I feel sorry for any customers that have had to deal with this so called manager Garrett since and his coworkers. He's definitely in the wrong field of work, he is absolutely horrible at customer service and I hope something is done about him. I have not been back there since and have no...
Read moreThis McDonald's is prominently visible from Interstate 80, but is somewhat of an inconvenience to actually visit. It requires turning on Eagle Ridge Road off of Highway 67 and then driving a ways up the hill. Having just eaten at the nearby Bierstube and desiring some ice cream (or the close analog that McDonald's serves) I was willing to undertake the mini Odyssey across the highway and up the incline to visit.
I haven't been here recently, but this McDonald's appears to have been remodeled somewhat recently. Sharp grey ceramic tile covers the floor, with black drop ceiling and various types of lighting fixtures dotting the top and walls of the space. There were two of those modern self-order kiosks directly across from the counter. I ordered my ice cream cone from there and within seconds a nice gentleman brought it out to me. It was of the expected quality of a McDonald's ice cream cone.
I'd come back here for another ice cream cone in the future. I'd come back to have other McDonald's food here also. I also feel the need to point out to people online that this is a McDonald's. There are certain expectations for the quality of the food, space, and employees that come with this franchise. Maybe don't take out your random complaints about these online?
At any rate, thanks McDonald's - I'll see...
Read moreMay 4th 2019 - I visited this McDonald's again. It is very close to my home and not too far out of my way to my destination. Typically their staff is very friendly. Typically there's a hi or a hello, welcome to McDonalds. Not yesterday morning. Justa how can I help you and it seemed to be a bother to take my order.Young girl who took my order yesterday morning was so concerned about her male co-worker leaving in 17 minutes. I think this was the reason why my and several other people's orders were wrong. The manager was very accommodating and apologetic. She got me what I ordered. However it was the worst sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin I ever had. The inside of the muffin was burnt to a crisp, charred black. The fries were cold but good. The staff was friendly, not very knowledgeable. They couldn't tell me very quickly what choices I have for McDonald's $6.00 meals. Nonetheless they worked very hard to answer my question. I did get a quarter pounder with cheese small fry small drink and an apple pie. I'm sure the quarter pounder was the way it was supposed to be but it wasn't as good as I remembered. I have a feeling it was me since I don't eat McDonald's very often. McDonald's fries are the best and the apple pie...
