San's Donuts — Restaurant in League City

Normally I would rate this bakery as a 5 star (pre-pandemic). Kind, friendly staff. However, the glazed and chocolate iced donuts are smaller than they used to be and not tasting as good but same price. The glazed donuts actually have an unpleasant after taste that wasn't there before. Didn't order as many as normal this time and glad I didn't. Also disappointed that the staff ARE NOT enforcing customers wear masks or even asking them to put one on. That is a THUMBS DOWN during this pandemic and one that steers my dollars to those businesses who are following CDC and local/state protocols/guidelines/orders. Fortunately, there is another great bakery (Bonnie's Donuts)...just as good if not better..with great staff as well on the other side of town. Owners were very kind to our family when we first moved to League City and made us feel welcome, remembered us each time we visited, and would give our family free samples of other types of donuts to try which was great with elementary kids. I've been trying to find a great donut place and so far have had no luck. So I decided to try Sans. I feel bad for writing this review as the workers there were so friendly but wow I could not finish my donut or donut holes.. They had a taste like acrylic powder!! I even gave a donut hole for my husband to try to see if I was crazy and he said the exact same thing! Weirdly enough they are next to a nail salon so I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Yesterday, May 2nd morning. I asked for for 2 Egg & Cheese croissants and a donut to be packed. When I returned home, all it had was 1croissant and a donut. I tried calling multiple times on the number they have on Google, but no one picks up.

I understand this can be human mistake, but at-least have the phones working. Its more about I had picked food for 2 people and its disappointing to find thats not what it was supposed to be, but after...
