We started our trip to Chicago for my birthday weekend by stopping for a snack on the way. My friends asked where we could go that wasnāt too far of a detour. I said what towns are along the way. One of them that was named was Lebanon. I was thinking in my head that sounded familiar for some reason. All of a sudden my onion ring post popped into my head. I remember someone suggesting the Lebanon Milky Way. So thatās immediately where I decided to go.
We headed off the highway into Lebanon. Cute little town. I see the sign and it says best shakes in town. I guess we are at the right place. I love milkshakes. Everyone hasnāt eaten much all day so here we areā¦.
Three tenderloins(breaded) and chicken fingers for the mains. Then we get mushrooms, fried zucchini, onion rings, loaded taco tots, and mozzarella cheese sticks for the sides. First off I didnāt try the tenderloin but they all said it was good. I did however have the chicken tenders. Man weāre they fresh, hot, and juicy. The seasoning/breading was so good. They also has good bbq sauce. I ordered the 3 pack and wish I would have gotten more.
Now letās talk about the real star of the showā¦ā¦those onion rings. They were whole onions and cooked just enough but that breading was light and crunchy and I wanted to eat them for the rest of my life. If I could only have this onion ring Iād be so happy. I didnāt wanna share but I wanted everyone to try them. Such a dilemma.
The other sides were good. The mushrooms actually had flavor which is rare for fried mushrooms. The only side I didnāt eat was the tots but they just didnāt sound appealing. And I was busy swooning over the chicken tenders and onion rings. š. The fountains drinks are cheap and I was able to get a Vanilla Coke just like my old sofa fountain days. They also had Triple XXX root beer on tap. The guys were excited about that.
We got shakes/mixers for the road. I canāt remember what everyone ordered but I got a strawberry shake made with hard ice cream. Best shake in town Iāve had! If you pay cash you get a discount. Plenty of seating inside and everyone is friendly. Itās worth the short drive. You wonāt be disappointed. Especially if you get the onion rings.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter and I like to go out here and get their shakis whenever possible. Best shakes in the entire state that I will guarantee you. They've got a large and an extra large (wich is 44 oz Xl ,32 oz L)but I feel they're priced very fairly yet still expensive. That said it's still worth every penny. the only complaint I would have and the reason they only got 4 stars is this restaurant is notorious for not being open during regular listed business hours. clearly it's a small business but they have their hours listed on the door as Monday through Sunday yet they're not open on Sunday 95% of the time. also I've showed up on several Saturdays to find them not being open.. Wouldn't be a big deal if I lived in Lebanon but I don't it's a good 35 minute drive we literally make that drive to get one of their shakes so when you've driven across the state and they're not open during listed business hours it can get quite frustrating. But they do have the best shakes in the entire state so it's just a chance we constantly take and I would recommend you...
Ā Ā Ā Read morewe stopped by the Lebanon Milky Way today. aithe pork is local and they pound their own breaded tenderloins. this is old school where the tenderloin is pounded to within an eighth of an inch of its life. I prefer a thicker tenderloin but it wasn't bad wouldn't get it again but worth a try as we wanted to try every place in Lebanon. the grilled tenderloin is much better it was just ground pork so not really a loin. both could have used a little seasoning. but I prefer needing it than to salty. tater tots pretty good. onion rings too greasy we couldn't finish them. I don't like fried pickles but my wife does and said they were good. been to every place in Lebanon that we can find a tenderloin and the West side Cafe was our favorite. followed closely by that sport bar. this marks the 100th tenderloin review I've done in Google. plenty more in TripAdvisor and...
