I attended an event downtown and spotted the sign for Pudgies pit. I was very hungry for something good to eat so I decided to go in and see what they had to offer. It was a beautiful display through a clear glass case that just wanted you to taste everything however I chose a brisket sandwich and it was amazing! First of all I felt so much at home the minute I stepped in the door as Erik who's running the show there I got to know after we had some great conversation he just treated me like I was family from the minute I stepped in it was awesome and I couldn't of asked for better once I tasted the sandwich that was the best I've ever had and trust me I've had lots of brisket sandwiches LOL. I liked it so much it was towards the end of the day and I asked him if how much he had left any other oh I don't know 2-3 pounds left so I told him pack it up took it home and my wife had some and she agrees absolutely delicious we will be definitely sending business their way again and I 100% recommend anybody who would like some barbecue no matter what the styling meat give it a shot and for what you get with top grade meet the prices weren't bad at all. Oh sorry to go on and on but I was just at impressed me and the place was so clean and so inviting and I'm assuming that was all due to Erik as Eric's new management from what I understand he's a hell of a guy very nice to talk to him again I can't say enough about the place I'm just that excited that we have that quality of a restaurant hidden right here in downtown Lebanon you got a try it as the only thing I can say you...
Read moreThe only thing that this place sells good is their meat their side dishes suck mac & cheese sucks that came with my choice of sides baked potato I got today was not fully cooked. Collard greens suck! couple years ago they used to weigh the neat at least give you a pound. Now they’re giving you half of it and you can’t even see over the counter to check out what they’re giving you and packing your food. They have their display covered so you can’t see how much meat they’re giving you other than that. The only thing I like about this place is their meat. Everything else sucks. I’ll give them a two star. The mac & cheese must be frozen because they bake it is not homemade. They baked beans are out of a can I think because they don’t taste like homemade so be careful of what you order..$24 Dollars is crazy expensive for just meat any of your choice sides to come with it suck! Giant sells cornbread better than what you will get there! being from the city, I know what good mac & cheese and collard greens and baked beans. Taste like trust me…. Being African-American I know what soul food supposed to taste full especially mac & cheese, collard greens and cornbread. That’s my complaint. These people who said that they love that mac & cheese and beans y’all don’t know what real southern food is. That stuff...
Read moreGet yourself to Pudgeys before Guy Fieri finds it and you have to wait in line down the street!! I was hungry for BBQ last weekend and we read some great reviews... so I headed to town. So, so, so GOOD!! I couldn't decide what to get ... so (I'm sorry I didn't ask his name, and Mr. Pudgey sure doesn't seem right...) the guy made up a sampler! I can't even pick a favorite! The brisket was delicious! The ribs... fell off the bone. The smoked chicken wings... so smokey and delicious! And the pulled pork?! Moist and so flavorful! Sausage isn't my favorite, but these on Saturday had cheese in them, and they're so tasty! There are a couple of tables inside, the seating area was cute... but with the smoker and stuff going inside, it was pretty toasty in there! I took it home, and my husband, who isn't a big BBQ fan was even impressed! I love that Pudgeys keeps their Facebook page up-to-date and lets you know what the specials are, and when they're running low or sold out. We'll definitely be back!! Don't tell TOO MANY people... I don't need Guy Fieri...
