The food was nothing amazing or unique, but we decided to try out Willow Garden because our usual Chinese restaurant of choice was closed. I ordered over the phone for a to-go order of just 2 items, the Mooshu pork with extra pancakes and Tofu & veggies, and it was ready in 15 minutes. The average price of each entree item on the menu ranges between $8-$10, which is what I'm used to from other Chinese restaurants.
The restaurant is still closed off for indoor dining, and there is no large patio for outdoor dining, so the staff set a table at the entrance for customers to pay and pick up their food.

Read moreWillow Garden is located on the corner of Ninth and Willow Streets, and is a short walk from the Lebanon Farmers Market. It is inner-city, but safe. Metered parking is available on Ninth or on Willow. It is family owned and operated, and offers wonderfully authentic Chinese food. In fact, in my opinion, and that of several people I know, it's the best Chinese food around. And, it is fairly priced. They don't use MSG, and the menu is varied. They also have inexpensive lunch options Mondays through Fridays with dishes that include fried rice and soup or a can of soda.

This restaurant (Willow Garden) is hands down the best Chinese I’ve ever had. I mean Virginia has great Chinese also, but this really is the best. My suggestion? Try the ribs/pork fried rice. No white onions, add green onions, peas and carrots. Also add a egg. I drive 40 minutes away once a week to eat here. I won’t touch any...
