After reading so many great reviews I was more than excited to try this place. After walking in I stood at the counter for 2-3 minutes before someone even acknowledged I was there. Once I was helped I asked for a custom sushi burrito to be fried, much like the one on the menu. While paying, I watched as my burrito was placed into the fryer - the same burrito that I had watched being made from the first step. $14 and about 2 seconds later I was handed a bag with "my order" only it wasn't my order. After letting the lady at the register know that the order was not mine, that mine was still in the fryer, she assured me it was my order. So I made my way out to my car where I discovered the order, in fact, was not mine. Back into the restaurant I go where I was greeted with confusion. When I asked for my correct order everyone behind the counter looked like they had no clue where it was. I had just been standing in front of them less than 30 seconds before but for some reason my order could no longer be located?
I would have not gotten upset nor written a negative review if there had been customer service. There was no apology for the mix up and no offer the make the wrong right. For a $14 burrito with no sides or drink, there should have been something done.
I will not be going back and I will not...
Read moreI'm so bummed to be writing this review, but after several experiences of receiving inedible meals through DoorDash, I felt compelled to write my experience. I used to order from this place ALL THE TIME, I was part of their rewards program, and was ALWAYS happy with my experience. My kids loved it, too, and asked for it frequently. I was addicted to the place. It might have been a problem.
However, lately, I have had way too many bad experiences. My job is such that I cannot leave my building to eat. Therefore, I rely on delivery services, which of course, are super expensive. The issue I keep running into is the portion sizes are very small, often with missing ingredients, while there is a HUGE amount of sauce on the item. This has been a recurrent problem. Once, there was so much sauce it was inedible. I threw it away. I had a similar experience when I ordered tonight - very little by way of rice, missing tempura shrimp, and DOUSED in sauce. I picked around and ate what I could, but threw about half of it away. Super disappointing.
Clearly, many people love this place and it has good reviews. But I've just spent too much money on wasted food. I hope your experience is better than mine. As for me, I'm switching...
Read moreI have been eating here about once or twice a week for about 3 years. It used to be my favorite place to go to but the quality has really dropped off over time. The difference between last year and now is the most apparent.
Much of newer staff do not care unfortunately, the poor kid working yesterday had to do everything for me and other customers because his co-workers just sat around and chatted. The wonton chips have been undercooked and tough and chewy on a few occasions recently as well. The overall quality of ingredients is not as consistent as of late either. Many toppings I typically get do not look as appetizing as usual.
I could never give this place 1 star because even on a bad day it is not that. The concept is a home-run, but sadly the execution as of late has not been. I hope that this place can regain some of the consistency that made me fall in...
