Fireside Brick Oven — Restaurant in Ledyard

Very disappointed tonight. We have ordered there countless times, why because the food is good. But just tonight we ordered a large pizza with one topping, and another topping on only half. Point is I asked for the total before I hung up the phone like I always usually do. Young man gave me the total of $17.78. So when I walked in the lady (who is very nice and I believe to be the owner)proceeded to ring me up to a total of $19.63. I asked her why did it go up in the 20 min from when I hung up, and she told me the employee who works for her messed up and didn't charge me for the half a topping which was tomato. My point is I don't care that it's the 1.80 , it's that they are willing to loose a loyal good customer over something so little. Because I will not be going back there that's for sure. What is good business is the owner should have honored that mistake and charged us the 17 and change. Or maybe just talk to your employee and so this doesn't happen again or even charge that 1.80 to his paycheck. You don't do that to your...

We booked a party for 15 people here two weeks in advance. When we showed up we found out that a larger party of 30 had booked for the same time (the restaurant never called us about this) and the only place they could sit us was at separate tables of 2 to 4. They acted like they didn't care if they lost our business and they acted like it wasn't a big deal that we couldn't sit everybody at the same table or even in the same area.

Thankfully we had a large conference room at our work where we could all sit together so we decided to order some pizzas to go. The restaurant was completely empty and yet it took over 10 minutes for someone to take our order. We even asked one of the people who worked there if we could order and her response was "I don't do orders."

We ended up ordering 5 pizzas. Two of them were horribly burnt and the rest were very bland. All the ingredients tasted very cheap. Never going back to this place again, I could make better pizza...

Fireside must have been busy 3 weeks ago!!! A lot of the same reviews from the same week. I work there and to be completely honest I eat there every shift and some times during the day on lunch from my first job. I have worked at a lottt of food places and when I tell you Stephanie has the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen its because its the true. I would also like to note that 95% of all our ex employees still come in to eat. If in any way you think that there are ill or "unclean practices or even tainted food why would we all return if we saw such unethical and the horrible accusations people are making. WE work there we see how thing are made and how things go and we all still eat there and return even after we no longer work there . I can tell you out of the 3 years I have work for her and ate there EVER SHIFT can say I Have NEVER NOT EVEN ONCE questioned the freshness of her food. OR OF course how amazingly good...
