So here is what happened: We made a reservation at Triple B to book the back room and told them what we wanted to do (invite friends to sip&shop with 2 small direct selling businesses). They said GREAT and that Wednesday's were super quiet anyway. Called on Monday, spoke with a second staff member to confirm- YUP, you are all set! We show up/set up and a little man comes flying in from the parking lot and yells "what are you doing?" My friend tells him what we are doing. "you can't do that here- you look like you are from the dominican republic" WTH???? Now it is 15 minutes before friends are coming there so we need to figure this out. So I said to him- "I see this as an opportunity for you- everyone that we invited will be coming to your restaurant to have a drink and something to eat. It's great exposure for you since none of these people have been here and specifically told us that they had been "meaning to check it out". We are in the back room, so we won't be interfering with any of your other guests. AT THIS TIME THERE WAS ONE TABLE OF 4 ON THE PATIO, AND 1 GUY AT THE BAR- THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. He says- I guess you guys can go outside (I'm thinking the patio- which would be fine)- he takes us outside, turns the corner away from the restaurant-in front of the dumpster and says "this would be ok, or in the parking lot". AGAIN- staying calm I said "but we invited friends for a drink and apps- they can't have those out here, right?" He says " no, they can't. I don't mind people having meetings here as long as they leave within a half hour". So my friend says, "ok, we'll pack up our stuff- can we SIT out on the patio with friends and our catalogs, and if someone wants to see something..." he interrupts her and says "they can go to your car". Now friends are arriving- we end up on the patio (the waitress does NOT come to take an order- we have to searching for her). My friend says to me- "someone must have called him because he came flying in from his house". The waitress turns her back to the room where we are packing up our stuff and says- we didn't call him, if you look in the corner he has a live feed camera to his house, he is always watching us. (yeah, that's NOT creepy at all). I cannot even express how antagonistic he was- I understand if there was a miscommunication, but he had the opportunity to introduce his business to people who had NEVER been there before, support 2 other small businesses-and the place was EMPTY! I will NEVER go there again- it was VERY clear that he did not want...
Read moreCame here with my girls tonight planning on a fun night and some music, night turned sour fast. Me and two other girls had to use the restroom as one does.. a worker with purple hair followed us in, i hopped in the same stall as my friend and we were giggling because we were talking about the song we were planning on singing because we were all nervous, purple hair lady chased us into our stall with a disgusted look on her face holding our stall door open and asked “are you girls okay?” Not in a nice concerned way but in a harsh judgmental condescending way. We awkwardly don’t respond and closed our stall and she leaves. She then very obviously goes out and says something to the staff in regards to us because when we exit our stall we are met with yet another staff member trying to see what we were up to. We walk to our table extremely confused sit down for not even two minutes and 3 staff members approach us and tell us we need to leave. I confront the woman with purple hair and ask why she followed us into our stall and she began to get loud with me and say we were drinking in the bathrooms, we argued back and fourth for a few minutes as she claimed we hid alcohol in the trashcan.. long story short my friends and i grabbed our things and left. We all work in the service industry and we understand the law. Ive had to take classes and courses and i understand if we were acting out of sorts or if we had obviously been drinking but none of us had. Not once have i ever followed someone into a bathroom stall nor have I ever yelled at a customer, usually it’s managements responsibility to handle those situations in a professional manner. We all just wanted to embarrass ourselves and sing some music. Super upsetting people can be so judgmental and cruel. Very unprofessional unpleasant experience. Try not to go to the bathroom when you are here and whatever you do.. do not jump in the same stall as your friends or you will be met with the ENTIRE staff coming up to you in front of the entire restaurant as a lady with purple hair barks that you are secretly taking shots in a dirty...
Read moreUnfortunately, all good things must change....triple B was our neighborhood stand by for really good burgers but evidently the owner has now passed away and the quality has gone south. We first noticed the amount of french fries had been cut by at least half and when asked about it was told that they were throwing away too many leftovers. Really? One of the cheapest foods on the planet and you have to skimp with the fries. The burgers are advertised as 1/2 pound but I swear the portions are smaller now too. Tonight the buns fell dry & apart they were grilled for too long, the patties were too small for the size bun and neither buns were spread with mayonnaise. Plus, what's the point of asking how you like the burger done if medium well comes out exactly like a medium rare? i don't think most people come here for the ambience and now sadly, the quality of the food has diminished to the point we just dont we are going to go anymore. Good things don't last...
