Leesville Donuts — Restaurant in Leesville

BEST apple fritters I've found around here. I've been to other donut shops in Leesville, Rosepine, and Deridder. I've also been to Market Basket and Wal-Mart, but none of those guys compare to the apple fritters found at Leesville Donuts. I wish I knew their secret so I could make my own when I move. At just over a dollar, they are a great deal: large, lots of apple pieces, crunchy outside, good amount of dough inside, and not oil soaked. Of course they have other kinds of donuts, but I like the apple fritter the best. I've also had the glazed rings, bowties, bearclaws, pinecones, twists, cinnamon rolls, and donut holes. If you need a little heartier breakfast, then they got that covered with breakfast burritos, kolaches (boudin, sausage, etc), and biscuit & croissant sandwiches (ham, bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese). There are 4 drink coolers and coffee as well to quench any thirst. I'm not a fan of Community Coffee so I bring my own travel mug. I also love the hours. They used to open at 5am, but they changed it to 4am. This is VERY convenient for the people heading to the Alexandria airport for the 6am flights. I also like the fact they're open on Sundays. I live nearby and can just walk over there from my place. The drive thru is quick and convenient, but I still like to go inside to look at...

Normally me and my son go to the other donut shop in town called Morning Donuts. But that morning they weren't open for some reason so went to try Leesville Donuts for the first time. We ordered their breakfast burritos since that's what we usually want at the other place. We go through the drive through and the minute the lady hands the box of burritos to my son and then over to me, I could smell a funny chemical smell. I smelled the outside of the box, then I smelled inside the box...something just smelled like glue or plastic. I get home and before I even take a bite I could smell the chemical smell. I started to eat and omg, I figured out what it was🙄 They are basically using the cheapest flour tortillas (bleached flour) That was just so unapitizing🤮Those burritos juat really reaked of glue, smh. Freaking gross!! Also I thought it was strange that they ask if you want them warmed up. Like why would I not want them warm? Are they not freshly prepared?😬 I'm sure their other food is good but that experience with the burritos was just a major turn off! Not coming...

I literally go to this donut shop every morning on the way to work and have never been treated the way I was treated this morning.. I told the lady at the register I wanted 1 large cheddar kolache, A SMALL kolache, and 2 donuts. When I saw my total was $13 I knew something wasn’t right because I never spend that much, so when I finally got the woman’s attention I repeated my order to her. She said “Oh my God! I asked you like 2 or 3 times and you said 8 small kolaches!” She asked me 1 time and I most certainly said A small kolache. I can see where maybe she thought I had said 8 instead of A, but the way she handled the situation was completely unprofessional and rude. I never leave reviews for businesses, but I spend way too much money at this particular place to be talked...
