Don Julio Mexican Street Food — Restaurant in Lemon Township

Our food was just so-so. Part of it may be the fact that we got it to go, but that’s not the only reason. I ordered grilled fish tacos and I honestly did not feel confident that I was eating fish (This is a big problem for me being pescatarian - I don’t eat any other meat, and am always worried about eating meat by mistake). There were no large pieces of fish, it was all kind of shredded/mashed up and the texture was almost like ground beef. It was such an odd texture that I only ate one of the three tacos. Definitely not the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. My husband said the same about the chicken enchiladas, and that the chicken was chewy. Food was very good as was the service. However, if you want to use the coupon on the back of your Kroger receipt it was not an easy task. They advertised 3 tacos for $4.99 when i went to redeem it on a Wednesday they said it was only good on Tuesdays, not stated on the coupon, but I gave in to that. I returned the next Tuesday to redeem the coupon and was told it was only for dine in and I wanted take out again NOT stated on the coupon. After some discussion the employee honored the coupon for what I wanted. This is no way to get business. IF the coupon does not specifically state the restrictions it should be honored for the customer. They were not very pleasant...

This place is seriously fantastic! The quality is better than any Mexican place I can recall. And I got DELIVERY. You know the food is good when even the delivery is outstanding. We place a large group order for my team at work. Nothing was missing, everything was packaged well. I got the street tacos (popular here) 1 carnitas, and 2 pastor. They were both delicious! I also got a regular side of guac to share.. and ended up eating the entire thing myself because it was so good, and I have HIGH guac standards.
