1. Just for clarification this is the name of the restaurant, but it has moved and is in the location of Main Street Eats and Treats. 2. Now that that is out-of-the-way, I’ll proceed with my review! My wife and I were traveling to Rockford on our way home to Murphysboro from Galena when we both decided we were hungry. I remembered that we were coming up on Lena and decided we would check out the food options at lunchtime. Checked out the menu and figured this was the best option in town. We were not let down. The food was very good. My wife said the croissant for her chicken salad sandwich was not super fresh but she really just wanted the chicken salad so she set the croissant aside and it was no big deal. My club sandwich was delightful. The atmosphere is no frills, but clean and pleasant. Service was quick - our waitress whose name I did not get, but was wearing a UW Platteville t-shirt, was super sweet, and welcoming. She made sure we had everything that we needed. We were there pretty close to their closing time (2), but they did not make us feel rushed at all. The other girls working were very nice also. When we were checking out, we made pleasant conversation about a girl I met from Lena who ran for Miss Illinois this year, which I judged, and whom they all knew. It’s nice to make those connections. Prices were very reasonable, and I would definitely go back, and will be recommending it to my family and friends in the Rockford area, especially those who travel back-and-forth to Jo Daviess County.

Had the garden omelette. Normally comes with American cheese but due to dietary restrictions, the chef was willing to make it with Swiss cheese instead which, I GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! The service was outstanding. Very friendly and courteous! I will be back!!!

You might get one of the best breakfasts! So lovely atmosphere. And top of that , there is gracious ‘Mary’. She took care of us . Anytime I am visiting the mid-west, this lovely Resturant would be my must Stop place !!

We are from out of town and had heard great reviews from some of the other people in the area, so we stopped in. They did not disappoint!!! The variety of food is impressive!! The gentleman who was our server was very friendly and shared things to do in the area. Unfortunately, my engine light came on as we were nearing the restaurant, so I called the auto shop in town and they said i could run over and they’d scan it, so I ducked out before the food came intending to return (leaving my family there). They said the gentleman was still super nice and when I didn’t return for a while (ordering parts), they packed my food to go. 😊 The even more impressive part - we were unaware that they closed from 2-4 and we walked in at 1:58. They were so gracious about allowing us to stay - we kept saying we could come back, but they encouraged us to stay. My family agreed the food was wonderful - fresh and hot. Even though I had to eat mine after we got back to the campground, the food was still delicious. Can’t recommend this place highly enough - I wish we lived closer; we’d be here...

First time visiting this restaurant. My breakfast was decent, I had the meat lovers omelet and hash browns. My wife's breakfast was a train wreck. She ordered over medium eggs and biscuit and gravy. The eggs were barely sunny side up and very slimy and raw. The B&G had no taste and the biscuit was kind of raw and chewy. I would try it again to see if it was just an off day, but the service was not friendly at all. In fact the waitress was fairly rude and sarcastic to us. She was super friendly to the table of regulars that came in after us. But you could tell we obviously were not welcome there. And the Women's bathroom was very gross. Will never go back to this smelly dump of an old restaurant. Too bad as Lena needs a decent...
