My husband and I (just ONE party of 2-ehich means just two people) went to Bella's Last night , Sunday February 24th at around 6:10PM. The male Hostess was taking names and escorting people to their tables. He told us when we first arrived that there was a 10-15 wait on Dine In and 45 min wait on the grill. We agreed on dine in.. we waited for 53 minutes and he skipped us twice and sat two different couples at a dine in table, both only party of 2, ahead of us. I asked him did he forget about us and he just "Uh yeah" and was looking down on his phone or at the computer, not quite sure which one. Anyways, we were finally seated, and the table HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED. There was visible salt and drink rings on the table. I wiped it up with my black napkin that's served with the silverware. My husband ordered a medium- to welldone steak and Chicken, and I ordered Chicken and shrimp. When the entrees finally arrived, the steak was very tough and pink in the middle. And we got a refill of Unsweetened tea into our Sweet tea twice. We added Splenda, no big deal, trying to make the best of somewhat unpleasant dining situation. Things happen, we get it.. The waiter very presentable and polite but was very distracted and made simple careless mistakes and he didn't offer to apologise. My anxiety was already bad due to the hostess skipping us and then being seated at a dirty table. I only ate 3 pieces of shrimp and 5-6 spoon fulls of rice and I left the plate. My husband ate all of his because was very hungry from the wait. I am very unsatisfied with the service and food last night. We love going to Bella Hibachi so much, we drive 34 mins each way every weekend. But this was the first time I had a bad experience during the 3 months we've been going weekly or at least biweekly. I asked to speak to the manager when we sat down but was told the manager was busy. I really hope NOONE else has this experience at such a nice restaurant and establishment as Bella Hibachi . But we paid $60 dollars for poor service. And I am just very nauseated about the whole situation. I don't think will...
Read moreSo, I LOVE, LOVE Bella's! Food is always great. I've always eaten at the hibachi grill which is great (dinner and a show! What's not to love?) But last night, my daughter and I stopped for dinner after an afternoon of great thrifting in Lenoir City and we were very tired and hungry and the wait for the hibachi grill was at an hour so we almost left but then the sweet hostess said that you can still get hibachi at a table, it's just cooked in the kitchen instead of in front of you and we were able to get a sweet little table for 2 with NO waiting! I kinda feel silly for not knowing this already (learn something new every day) anyway, food was great as always. Their portions are HUGE!(and I always get 2 or 3 meals out of it with left overs). The soup that comes with hibachi grill is delicious and I usually don't like the ginger dressing that most hibachi grills use but Bella's is the best I've ever had. We also had the sweetest, most attentive server, Stephanie. She was wonderful. Most restaurants go around and just refill your tea but Stephanie brought me a fresh glass which may seem like a little thing that most places don't do but means a lot to me because I love lemon in my tea so with the fresh glass of tea, I got a fresh lemon! Most places DO NOT do this anymore 😭. My daughter tried one of their cocktails which she said was delicious ( sorry, I can't remember what it was called but I did take a pic) Anyway, I highly recommend...
Read moreRead other recent reviews and sadly its true. This place is no longer a nice place to eat. The bathrooms are in terrible shape there was a wet roll of paper towels on the counter and a broke towel dispenser. The rain was leaking around the hood above the table. They had a guy that climbed up on the grill and stood on a piece of cardboard to wipe water away before starting the grill. The waitress didn't ask about salad dressing and just brought salad with ginger dressing. I told her I wanted ranch instead and was brought ranch dressing but not a new salad without ginger on it. when I then explained to her I wasn't going to eat the salad with ginger she took it and the dressing and I just didn't get the salad I paid for. The cook was so slopy while making the rice it was falling in the grease trap where they scrap the trash off the grill and he would scoop it back into the pile and mix it in so I didn't eat the rice either. There was show of skill other than the onion volcano and a missed attemptat throwingrice at a kid. The meat and vegetables were ok but not nearly seasoned enough nor were they particularly outstanding. I was truly hopeful when I saw the crowd of people waiting at 4:15 for the door to open at 4:30 but I don't expect it will last much longer after my last experience. In all honesty unless they do some much needed maintenance to the building this place should probably just be closed by the...
