A Taste of Home and Heart at Baladi!

I called Baladi the day before Mother’s Day, only to find they were fully booked. But to my surprise and delight, Adi called me back and somehow found a way to squeeze us in—and what a treat it turned out to be!

We ordered a feast: the Baladi breakfast, cheese burekas, sabich, salatim, schnitzel with fries, and more. Every bite transported me straight back to the mountains of Israel. The aromas of green tahini, labaneh, and tuna salad were rich and vibrant, and the flavors were simply unforgettable—fresh, authentic, and made with love.

As if the food weren’t enough, Adi and Hagai came to our table to thank us—but really, we were the ones who should be thanking them. Their warmth, hospitality, and care made the whole experience feel like visiting family.

We had a most excellent brunch today. Visiting our friends in the Berkshires, they'd been here before and know how much we like Middle Eastern food. We've been to Israel, to Israeli, Lebanese and Moroccan restaurants, and we know a good meal from a mediocre meal from a GREAT meal. This place is great.

Located inside a B&B, they have to work with the space that's there, a couple of rooms with a variety of table sizes. Four of 7s took a 6-top in the front room. Nestled amidst breathtaking fall foliage, this new restaurant inside a beautiful inn offers an exceptional dining experience. As someone who loves to eat out and has enjoyed many fantastic restaurants, I can confidently say that this place ranks among my very favorites.
