We recently had our wedding here, a small and intimate elopement ceremony with just our immediate family. Lyndsey, the wedding coordinator at Cranwell, was the most amazing person to work with. Later on I learned that the day before our wedding she had two others going on, and I had no clue throughout the planning process. She always answered all my emails quickly and made me feel like I was her only client. Most importantly, Lyndsey never once made me feel like I was inconvenient or less important because ours was a small ceremony instead of the usual large affair and seriously answered even my silliest of questions. And when the rain came down during our ceremony, she was first out there with an umbrella! Which brings me to Felicia. She was supposed to just do my hair and makeup, but she turned into a total lifesaver. Felicia kept me sane and laughing while the stress of getting my family dressed and ready was beginning to get to me. She really made me feel like the day was about me and literally was the one to tie me into my corseted dress as my family was still focusing on finishing getting themselves ready at the expected ceremony start time -_- I'm not really over-exaggerating when I say that I'm not sure I would have ever made it to the aisle if it wasn't for her! And let's not forget, her hair and makeup skills were phenomenal. I could barely recognize myself (in the best way possible), and I know everyones jaws dropped when I came out! Honestly, all the staff at Cranwell was so polite and accommodating and helpful throughout the day, running out to help when my cathedral veil fell off during my entrance and others joining with umbrellas when the downpour started. The flowers provided in the package were absolutely gorgeous and the cake delicious. All the actual food at the reception was fantastic and the waiter again immensely patient with our families. But seriously, I don't know how Lyndsey and Felicia do it. They're truly beyond, and I hope Cranwell and everyone who works with them really realizes the amazing...
Read moreEven though I picked 4 stars, my stay was not the greatest. Let me explain and please read the entirety, if you are planning to book. The property has been under construction, which I was informed about prior to booking. The room, the entire section of the resort we stayed at was brand new. Absolutely gorgeous! We had tickets to a show at Tanglewood Friday 8/16/19. We were able to check in early which was great. Before leaving for the show we realized the bathroom wasn’t working correctly. We called maintenance and they fixed the problem immediately. We went off to the show. We got back from the show and the bathroom wasn’t working correctly again. We called and they came immediately. After figuring out it was a bigger issue, they moved us to another part of the hotel. Apologizing the entire time. Packing up and moving after midnight was just a nuisance but at least we had a working bathroom. The new room we got was also gorgeous and just happened to be closer to where we parked our car. 7am we were awoken to the construction. We decided to leave. I rarely complain and didn’t do so when checking out. A friend of mine talked me into calling the next day, something I wouldn’t normally do because I’m a pushover. When I called, the staff was so amazing and apologized again. I wasn’t looking for a refund, maybe a discount for the inconvenience. The hotel reimbursed me and I was so shocked and grateful. The staff here went above and beyond, the grounds are so beautiful! I will, even after a “not so great” experience, be back. I will recommend to my friends. I can’t wait to see how great this place will be after the everything is back on track. I would like to thank everyone I spoke to again that helped me. I wish I could thank everyone by name. Sandy is the only one that stuck. If you stuck with me on this rant, and are looking at staying at this property, my advice to you is YES!! Because they will go above and beyond to make it a great experience! Thank you to everyone who helped us the other night. Next time I’m sure it will be a 5...
Read moreVery disappointed! I reserved an 80 min massage appointment for my mother as a birthday present and I truly regret it. As suggested at the time of the reservation, she was 30 minutes earlier for her appointment and was never acknowledged by staff members. After waiting for almost an hour, she asked about the delay and she was told her appointment was at 6 p.m., a half hour later from the time I had reserved it for. Not only she was attended late but her massage was 20 minutes short. I requested to speak with the manager who was supposed to call me the next day but instead, I received a phone call from an employee telling me how sorry the manager was and as a response to my complaint, part of the service cost would be refunded to me. Unfortunately, refunding money won’t alleviate the effect of a...
