There are not many options to get steak and seafood in town, so just the fact that they offer it is a plus. This was our first visit, and I I tried the chicken fried steak. Portion size was good, and the mashed potatoes were actually mashed potatoes, not made from a box. Don't think I can say the same for the cream gravy, but it was still good. I was disappointed it didn't come with any bread tho. Some texas toast would have been primo with this meal. Sodas are served in a bottle with a cup of ice, instead of fountain drinks, which kinda takes away from the aesthetic. Prices are alittle high, but so is everything these days. I had the grilled seafood platter, which was comparable to the best I had ever had anywhere. I was in Levelland, Texas, and did not expect the fish to be so good. The fish, shrimp, scallops, and oysters were excellent. The vegetables, broccoli and zucchini, were so good. I would highly recommend this food item. The waitress was so helpful and complimentary of the freshness of the seafood. I was skeptical, but I will eat here again for sure. Our server Rachel is the icing on the cake when it comes to this place!!! She is the best!!! Oh and as far as the food goes, for someone who grew up in the New Orleans area, I know what a good gumbo is and this place definitely has a good one!
