Have been to this place a few times and generally had good experience, but today brought friends here on my recommendation and went pretty poorly. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 4:15pm after a nice kayaking trip. The waitress was initially friendly and brought their two milkshakes and my root beer float. She took our food order at 4:35 (a #14 and two Mac &cheese plates). Several customers arrived in the course of the next several minutes and the business overall picked up. We saw our waitress again at about 5:25 at which time we pointed out that the bottom of the chocolate shake contained several fried green beans... she did offer to replace the shake but it wasn't terrible and we had already finished it, so we said no thanks. We began to notice that several of the other tables received their orders... had eaten... and were actually leaving having paid their checks. At 5:45, she returned to our table with water and told us our order was almost ready. At 6pm we still had not received our food, so I asked if it could be placed in "to go" boxes, which was obliged and we did receive our food to go at around 6:10. No explanation was given (did our items require extra cooking time? Was our order not initially entered causing delay? Was there an incorrectly prepared item requiring re-preparation?) We would probably have been content with any explanation suggesting they had noticed our hour and a half delay and perhaps an apology for having to take our order to go. The green bean shake was deducted from our bill, and the food was eventually prepared well and quite good. Not sure why there was such a lapse in service. So a sandwich and two plates of mac&cheese with a shake and a float was $50 after an hour and a half and I looked foolish for the...
Read moreDisappointing. I was excited to try this place for a good burger because the reviews were so good. I'm not very picky but this was a disappointment. Most of the food was just bland. We had 2 different burgers and both were a little dry with very little flavor. The bacon was super chewy with low actual bacon flavor. The most flavor on them was the sauce which seemed like cheap bottled sauce. The fried pickles were flavorless as well. They tasted like cheap dill pickles in a fried breading that didn't have any seasoning in it. The Pork rinds we ok, but very salty and guessing was just refried store pork rinds with an added seasoning. The Garlic fries were soft, and flavorless, no salt, no seasoning. The upgrade to garlic fries was simply normal fries with a clove of garlic minced and dumped in the center of the fry pile. they weren't coated or tossed in a garlic seasoning. The service was ok but not great. I was a little frustrated the female waitress kept referring to me as dear or hun which I thought was unprofessional especially when someone brings their girlfriend in for a date. To top it all off, when I was brought the receipt to sign I noticed we had paid fro someone else meal, not ours. When I pointed it out they did reverse the charge and brought us the proper ticket. You take a gamble when trying a new place but this is a place I wish I hadn't paid for. I'm not sure how a place with such raving reviews on their food could have across the board food that was...
Read moreIf you don't mind waiting for over an hour to get your burger or a drink refill, then try this place. The burger was decent albeit dry. I got 5 large onion rings with mine which left me wanted more. My pulled chicken greek-esque burger was sub par and my boyfriend had the dry meat mac-n-cheese burger. The waitress was downright rude to us and many others in the restaurant. They apparently do to-go orders which happened to all come in at the same time, so our waitress claimed was the reason for our delayed meal, still not offering drink refill. It is hard to ignore tables in this place as it's a small serving area.
We were looking for a spontaneous place out to eat, being from Pullman, but I would have rather eaten in Pullman over "KC's Mediocre Burgers and Lack-There-Of Brew".
I'll also mention that the group of 4 sitting next to us was very openly disappointed with the salad entree ($10+) and refused to pay for it, as it was tiny. Their burgers also took over an hour to arrive. The party of two to our other side received 1 of their appetizers (fries) first and asked about their 2nd appetizer (wings) but was told the wings would be awhile. The man said "well they are both appetizers and I would have liked wings with my fries". By the time his wings came they were already done with there fries and were eager to get out...
