The perks of being a senior is the just for us menu. This diner has an Americana themed decor, which is so fitting with it being in the heart of farmland. I had the breaded catfish filet, which was battered with the lightest touch and fried to tender perfection. It was a huge piece that took up the entire plate. The senior plate came with a salad, green beans, baked potato, and dessert. At $7.69, it was a great value. You can also order breakfast anytime, and my mother ordered medium eggs that came with pancakes and bacon. The eggs looked like something you would see in an ad, beautiful. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the bacon was crisp. The total for two meals was $16.81, a bargain by any standard.

Service is good but understaffed. The hamburger was good. Fries are frozen amd coated type that are extra greasy. The "catfish" filets didn't seem like catfish at all. I believe they were walleye. The filets were so greasy, they weren't really edible. The salad was good. The menu says meals are served with rolls but are not. The chicken dumpling soup was good. Prices are fair if the food would have been good. The restaurant looked clean and there is plenty of parking.

Country Side Family Diner is a jewel in a small town. With ample seating, friendly servers, a menu with lots of options at decent prices - what is there not to like. I had a steak skillet, with two eggs, lots of steak and hashbrowns; mr partner enjoyed an 8 oz ribeye, two eggs and toast. Lexi, our server, brought our breakfast in a jiffy, and took care of coffee and water, asking about out food without being over-bearing. The bill was just over $20.

The people who own this facility are extremely rude & very unprofessional! My family & I went to dine at this facility tonight & we all ordered our food. As the food arrived two of us realized they had misled us about the style/type of cheese for the horseshoes (meaning orange cheese sauce or white queso) we politely refused & asked to possibly return for other items instead. The owner comes to our table & starts to argue with us about their cheese! He picked up a bowl of shredded cheese and drop it on our table elevating his voice that everyone loves their cheese and they sell it to everyone. We simply stated that we were misled & would rather have something different as requested before. One family member simply just asked for a bun & they would simply scrape the cheese & fries off & make a hamburger (WOW NOT GOOD ENOUGH). This guy leaves our table & then comes back AGAIN & starts to argue with us. We told him we would never return & to leave us be to finish our food. NOPE!!! not this clown, he decides to go get his son & kick us out for not liking their cheese!!! So they make the other plate of food as requested & then decide to tell us to get out for not liking their cheese... (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!) So we all get up to leave & they decide to start yelling even more & then decide to put their hands on me (HAHA NOT THE BRIGHTEST IDEA)... Let's just say for the sake of this review, I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU RECONSIDER BEFORE ATTEMPING TO GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!!

I've given this place many chances, and this is the last one. My husband and I wanted to take some family members out to eat so we decided to go to countryside and that was a mistake. Service was horrible. Our waitress was very rude and spent more time talking behind the counter than at our table. Took ten minutes just for us to get our drinks, which is ridiculous because they were not busy. There were only 3 other tables when we were in there. Then we placed our order and it took 30 minutes to get our lunch. Everything came out separately and by the time the last meal came out the first person was almost done eating. The fries were not fresh and my brother in law said his chicken sandwich was still pink. We did not get any refills on our drinks considering the waitress never checked on us again after all the food came out. On top of all this, the owner was staring at us the whole time we were eating. So uncomfortable. The whole experience sucked. We will never be back and I do not recommend this...

This is your typical small town diner. You know, the kind of place you go to find out all kinds of things about yourself from the locals. The place looks new or recently renovated. The staff are less than welcoming, and make you feel like they are doing you a favor by simply speaking to you. I asked if the pork tenderloin was breaded and the waitress glared at me and responded with: " Uhhhhhh... Yeah..." I asked for a refill on my glass of water and the waitress took it and sat it up on the counter. This is where it's at for a solid 10 minutes. My girlfriend ordered a small pizza for herself and it was brought out at least 10 minutes before my food was (I ordered fried chicken). The menu is relatively large and has a wide variety of food to choose from. The food we received was nothing to write home about. My girlfriends pizza was very tough and my fried chicken tasted overly greasy on the outside. and was really dry and tough on the inside. Overall, not pleased and will probably never...
