Went in to purchase a tea at 3:22PM. Read the sign out front advertising 1/2 price tea during happy hour.
Made my tea and approached the register. Cashier didnât apply the discount so I said âoh I thought it was half price?â
She said no, itâs buy one get one now.
I asked why it was advertised as 1/2 price.
She got her manager.
He explained that corporate had changed it to buy one get one.
I said âokay, but your sign still advertises 1/2 price. Itâs posted on your building.â
He said âwe changed the one out thereâ and gestured behind him (I assume referring to the drive through?)
I said âokay, but your sign out front says half price. You should honor your posted promotion.â
He refused citing corporate again and asked if the $1.50 was really gonna hurt me.
At that point I walked away from the register and he said âokay buddy!â Mockingly.
I donât find this to be particularly professional, or welcoming. Despite enjoying the tea I wonât be returning to any HTea0 locations and will make sure my friends and family know this is the way corporate instructs their employees to treat their customers.
Thanks for your time, and maybe just go to McDonaldâs or Chick-fil-A or any other place that sells tea to get...
Read moreIâd say I go to HteaO quite a bit: by myself, for my family, and with my friends, and most of my experiences have been extremely pleasant. The customer service is almost always great. However, today my friend and I order our drink and were instead met with an extremely rude, standoffish, and unprofessional employee by the name of Ashley. She was making a face and just treating us very rudely. Even when asking for a simple favor (an empty cup so we could split our drink), we were told by her that sheâd âHave to charge usâ in a very rude and annoyed way. We were initially shocked by this because we had never heard of places charging for empty cups, but we didnât say anything. Coincidentally, we went to mcdonaldâs just down the road and asked for a cup, and sure enough it was totally free. The way in which she conducted business, even during the transaction, was just overall rude and unpleasant, to the point where my friend and I could do nothing besides laugh -at her audacity on the drive home. However, aside from this off putting encounter, I will still continue to go to HteaO...
Read moreThis place is usually very good. But for some reason despite their website saying they close at 8:00 p.m. they close at 6:00 p.m. or earlier depending on how they feel that day. It's very annoying especially when all of the lights in the place are on and you can see people inside and there's even a car in the drive-thru. Apparently that car in the drive-thru is one of the employees blocking the drive-thru so no one can get in or out. I got stuck in the drive-thru for over 10 minutes because people were pulling in behind me and I couldn't move forward because while they were open they were actually closed so we all had to finagle our way backing out of the entire drive-thru. If you're going to close early then turn off all of your lights and make sure that it doesn't look like you're open or just stay open until your actual close time that it shows on Google. If you're close time at 6:00 p.m. then change it on Google. Because every HTeaO says it close...
