A P Suggins Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Lexington

Got nachos as a carryout. What a mistake. Probably the single worst nachos I've ever had, like ever. Chips were either totally soggy or burnt brown(see photos). There were literally large squares of onion....who eats giant raw squares of onion and why include it? It really takes some effort to mess up nachos and these are magnificently bad. It pains me to say that as suggins is one of my favorite places. Standards must have gone way down recently. This was made so lazily, with cheap/non fresh ingredients, if I could give it a negative rating I would.

It's not edible. Looks like something that was made 24 hours ago and has been sitting around since. Then nuke it in the oven which would explain how they burnt chips yet nachos being lukewarm at best in the middle. Raw jalapenos, mushy tiny tomato squares, giant onion monsters, stringy day old lettuce....Shame on you for even serving this to a former regular(or anyone for that matter). I can't believe we paid money for this thing 😂. Feels like I've eaten at one of the places on Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares...I mean this is an embarrassing thing to send out.

I loved this place for years. They have an amazing au jous....but something is going in and it's going way downhill.

Do yourselves a favor and stay away until they can get their kitchen...

I grew up going here, too bad that it's gone so far downhill these days. We order takeuot here a lot but lately it's been a hassle. Tonight was no different and now we will not go back. I waited 50 minutes for chicken pasta salad and fried chicken salad. The short trip to get food turned into me waiting at the bar with no offered drink service for a good 25 minutes. The bartenders were having a nice lively conversation at the end of the bar though. When someone finally went to the kitchen to check on my order, she returned minutes later with no appologies. My husband's chicken pasta salad was merely cold wet plain pasta noodles with the cheap kind of parmesan cheese sprinked all over it. His chicken breast was so tough and chewy that he had to throw it away and go out again to get something else to eat. Too bad, because their pasta salad used to be great. Suggins was a nice neighborhood place for decades but now it's feeling more like a crappy chain restaurant with no...

Normally we have excellent service. Today as my husband and I are lunch out waitress was quite mouthy. He asked the lady that wouldseated us for beer in a bottle. She said our waitress will bring it out to us. The waitress brought it but it was in a glass she seemed to be a bit in a hurry so he said ho hang on unwanted it in the bottle. She mouthed back and said well I didnt take your order so with that quick jab of response I think there was some conflict. Fact all he did was simply say that's not what I the ordered. There was no need for her response like that. You are a server. The correct response would have been oh I'm sorry sir let me fix that for you. What did you ordered. Problem solved. People today just think they got to respond to everything in such an ugly way. Needless to say she didn't get a very good tip. And it seemed she was in such a rush to go sit down with the group of men friends at a table. Im,sure her tip...
