Scoops And More — Restaurant in Lexington

Scoops was once next door to O'Reilly's Auto Parts on Church Street but they relocated to Hwy 104 N and they now have, not only more room but an expanded menu. My family, my employees and I order from there and visit there multiple times per week and we have never been disappointed with the food or the service. They have a special almost every day that you may access on Facebook. The taco salad is very good, I really enjoy the chicken wrap and on several Friday's, my son has brought me the hamburger and fries special. The burger is real ground beef and you can tell it. The fries are unusual and unique, you must swing in and experience it for yourself. There are many ice cream flavors and special ice cream dishes, along with awesome milk shakes. We stopped in for some ice cream and we were so disappointed. The quality of ice cream left a lot to be desired. Every flavor was gritty and had ice crystals throughout, that felt like it hadn’t been kept at a consistent temperature. Not creamy at all. Not sure where all of the great stuff in the pictures is but our experience was not good. The ice cream is bluebell which is solid but we can get that at the grocery. I ordered the snowball. The ice was hard and by the time I was half way through it was a big solid ball of flavorless ice. This was our first time and it will be our last.
