Wife and I were here for our first time. Was ignored when we first walked in and had to see that it was seat yourself. Was able to find a clean table with no problem. Wait staff was good to come to the table within a few minutes. Drink's were right but only had lemon juice packets and no fresh for the tea. Wife got the shrimp plate that was a good amount of food. Side was fries and supposed to be hush puppies but they said they were out only after we asked about them when the food came out. Was offered bread for them being out of hush puppies. I had the veil Parmesan with the side of spaghetti. That came with toast. Right off it went south. I took a bite of the spaghetti and it was cold. So I took a bite of the veil. That was cold too. I sent it back to be redone and all they did was put it in the microwave for a few minutes. Now I'm not a chef but I don't think you should send food out that's cold and below proper temperature. Now for when the now microwaved food was back on the table. It was then greasy and no flavor. I had my wife try a very small bite and she got sick from it within the hour. I got sick from the three bites I had within the hour as well. Now for the cost. Her plate was supposed to be fourteen plus the drink of $2.70. Mine was about the same price. However when I went to pay it was almost fifty dollars. I managed to get the veil taken off but was charged a LOT for one trip to the salad bar. Our total cost after the veil was taken off was still over $30. So y'all do the math. We're NOT going to be going back to this place. Dinners beware of the way the food is served. Below proper temperature can make you sick for days or possibly put you in the hospital, if I'm correct. I'm going to give the owner a bit to read my post. But I'm then going to be calling the health department and reporting the place. Also there are no names for the salad dressing for possible food allergies that people will have. Use your own judgment. It did appear that there was some cross-contamination on the salad bar and nobody was fixing it.

Whoever said this place was clean lied. There was trash all over the floor, even in the room where no one was seated. So dirty that they pulled out a kids menu from 1998 from the side of the host stand. (A waitress dropped something and they were using a broom to try to get it. It was she who said it was from 1998) The salad bar was minimal and the dressing was watered down. My husband had mashed potatoes, that were microwaved. He tried the fries but spit out the first bite due to the taste. He said they tasted like old grease. The waitress was not attentive but she was pleasant. There is NOTHING grecian about this place, don't let the name fool you. They have a gyro on the menu and anything that wasn't clearly American was more Italian and there's only a few, like spaghetti, lasagna and a veal dish. Not ever returning.

I’ve been in this restaurant twice and had good food. My first call in order was awful. It’s not hard to make a salad. I called in a chicken salad. They forgot the eggs and I was told because it’s not on the menu lol, It had water in it and the lettuce was colored. The cheese was melted from the hot chicken. it just wasn’t the best I’ve seen them do. I will not return. This will be another on my list..

The Grecian Family Restaurant is a staple in Lexington, TN. Don’t let the name fool you this is not Mediterranean cuisine, however the gyro is solid and tasty. This would qualify as your typical southern charm family restaurant, that my family has been coming to for decades, and was my first visit since I was a teenager.

The atmosphere at the Grecian is friendly, clean, and spacious. Our server was young, friendly, and learned it was easier to put down pitchers of water and tea rather than try refills, which is always appreciated. There is plenty of seating for small and large parties (we were a family of 10).

The menu is pretty eclectic from Italian entrees, catfish, steak, chicken, and the aforementioned gyro (all of which was ordered). The staple at the Grecian is their fresh salad bar, which I might come in just for that. Most entrees have it included but you can get it on its own as well. Generous in its offerings the 1000 Island was outstanding. The food was not bland (steak was tasty but not noteworthy) and generous in portion. It won’t win any awards but it didn’t leave anyone hungry at the end either.

At the End of the Day this is exactly what you would expect and it doesn’t disappoint. There is not a wow element to the Grecian and maybe it isn’t supposed to have one. In small towns like this maybe it’s just nice to have something dependable and...

This local restaurant has been here for years, and the quality of food & service has been up and down. They absolutely have the best hamburger steak around!! adjoining towns included... But the service comes and goes. Today it wasn't so good, last time in it was ok. My biggest complaint is their salad bar. It has plenty of fixings, but they really come in short on dressings. My dressing of choice for over 40 years has been Thousand Island... theirs is the pits! It has always been watered down, but today it was downright awful. My wife agreed that her ranch was watered down today. I knew that the dressing was bad ahead if time, so it wasn't too big of a let down... I just wish the salad was as good as the hamburger steak! My wife usually orders some form of chicken, and it too has always been good. Great food! Bad salad and so-so service. Still probably the best this town...
