El Burrito Mexicano Real #2 — Restaurant in Leyden Township

Just a month ago we had an experience that will not forget and was enough reason to not go back. the food is good yes, but this is what happened, a bug was found in tostadas which i took back to the counter and give to the server, she is rude and took them to the cook (owner) which he said that bug was in the bag of the product and from them which is not accurate for me. then she exchange the tostadas for tortilla chips. at the end we are ready to pay and see the whopping check of $70 for 3 meals, 2 pozoles 1 enchiladas and 3 drinks (orchata and can soda). then we asked and the server she said that it was tip included because of 4 people on the table but we only order for 3 so how does she made her math? little she knows that we always tip more than what they include in their ticket. then we saw the cost of one orchata for $7 which is crazy, on top of that they charge about $5 for credit card use and they completely forgot about the bug in the tostadas so no discount at all. sorry for them because they started taking advantage of people long time ago. i hope they realize and see the mistakes they are doing to keep up with...

Well this is a first! A bad review because they took advantage of us? Yes, unfortunately. The food was okay but it doesn’t make up for paying $87 for 4 people for Mexican food at a little restaurant. We started by telling her we were visiting from out of town and ordered 7 Gorditas which on the menu were $5 each and a chicken soup with 4 drinks. We ate took the soup to go and asked for our check. We saw the check and were surprised, we were thinking it was a mistake so we asked for all the different charges and she said tip was included which is fine, then we asked why the Gorditas were $7 and she said because it was $2 extra for the meat!!! We didn’t see that anywhere on the menu and ended up just paying but felt extremely frustrated that she saw the opportunity to take advantage of tourist and did. She also said she charged $5 for paying with a credit card so we were forced to pay cash. If the food had a different price then the one on the menu we should have been told, to give us the chance to decide ahead of time. Instead we ordered a bunch of food we didn’t even eat and were overcharged, definitely not...

Great authentic food. Amazing taste and fast service...but, we recently had a bad experience which is going to keep us away from this place for the near future. On 4/7/18, we had a little party here for my daughters 4 month birthday. 13 people joined us. I paid the bill and only then did my wife realize we were over charged a lot. Upon mentioning it to the server. She realized her mistake, talked to the owner who was there, and he said sorry there was nothing he could do. We paid and it's done. He then MADE the waitress return the tip...
