Absolutely phenomenal!

Maharaj Indian Grill is a true hidden gem in the suburbs. Without exaggeration, this was some of the best food I’ve ever had—not just the best Indian cuisine, but possibly the best food in the entire Chicagoland area.

I ordered the $16 lunch special, which came with three entrees, rice, and naan. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, especially for the price. The butter chicken was rich and perfectly spiced, the lamb rogan josh had just the right level of heat, and the tandoori chicken was flavorful, tender, and served with a great mix of vegetables. The naan was warm, slightly crispy, and finished with just the right touch of oil.

The service was amazing—Payal was kind, helpful, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was clean, professional, and comfortable, with colorful, inviting decor. Even the complimentary starter (a crispy chip-like snack with dipping sauce) was delicious.

I’m shocked more people don’t know about this place—especially those at Triton College, since it’s right nearby. For the quality and quantity, the value is unbeatable.

I’ll absolutely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for outstanding food, excellent service, and a...

Wow! Yum! I will be back! I went here for dinner for the first time last night, and it was quite the experience. Beautiful, clean, and inviting ambiance in the dining room. Our server Mohan was such a sweetheart. He did a good job explaining the menu and making recommendations on what to eat, made sure our food arrive fresh and hot, and was great at checking in when it made sense during our meal to make sure our experience was satisfactory. We ordered the Maharaj dinner and the Maharaj mix grill to share. The naan bread was perfect, the dal delightful, the meats were perfectly moist and grilled to perfection, fish tikka perfectly flaky, and the butter chicken was heaven. The menu prices are fair and the portions are plentiful; I had an entire meal of leftovers to enjoy the next day and it tasted just as good reheated for lunch leftovers. I also got a peek at the banquet hall in the back of the building on my way to the ladies room; I don't know whose party they were setting up for, but the room looked GORGEOUS. I know that party must've had a great night if that was their ambiance and this amazing Indian cuisine was at the front & center of their...

We had the most wonderful experience here ! Flew in and found this gem. We came with our 3 young children. We were thoughtfully seated in a back area that was comfortable and private. The service was impeccable. Shelly was our waitress and was so kind and thoughtful. Everyone was very friendly. Food was incredible. I have been to many indian restaurants around the world, the food here was tasty, fresh, and crisp. Fluffy naan, rice, tandoori chicken. Everything tasted perfect, not overly oily or with any strange aftertaste. Just delicious. Shelly even gave our kids a couple of extra mango lassis at the end. I was dreading figuring out our dinner situation when we landed, and this far exceeded what I had even hoped to eat. The building is large and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Great experience all around and even though we ate a lot, my stomach doesn’t feel heavy or bloated. Price is great for the quality and ambiance. The food is truly made very well. You cannot go wrong here. I recommend it...

Maharaj Indian Grill is a must-visit for anyone seeking a true taste of India! The vegetarian combo was a delightful surprise, especially the palak paneer – creamy, fresh, and unexpectedly rich, with tender paneer that melts in your mouth. The kadhai paneer was just as incredible, bursting with vibrant bell peppers and a bold, expertly spiced kick. Paired with fluffy basmati rice and warm, soft naan, every bite was like a feast for the senses, taking me back to India. The ambience only added to the experience, with lively Bollywood music setting the perfect mood. And a special shoutout to our server, Pawan, who was incredibly warm and friendly, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure we were comfortable throughout. He suggested the vegetarian combo, and it was the perfect choice! Top it all off with the mango lassi – creamy, refreshing, and just the right sweetness – and you’ve got an experience that feels home-cooked and authentically Indian. Highly recommended for anyone craving real, flavorful Indian cuisine!
