My husband and I stopped for dinner two weeks ago. I am gluten-free and the first thing I noticed was that they have gluten-free garlic bread! My choices are usually pretty limited, especially at pizza joints, so I was excited to see another g.f. option on the menu. As I was looking over the menu, I wondered if I could get one of their subs made on the g.f. bread that they use for the garlic bread. Trevor, our server that evening checked with the kitchen and they were happy to try making me a sub. Let me just say that it was AMAZING! The bread they use is very thin, not at all like a typical sub bun, but was perfect for making the sub. The sub was delicious, the toppings were fresh and flavorful and the bun was perfectly golden brown. My husband had a regular crust Buffalo Chicken pizza that he said was the best he had ever had. We went back just a few days ago. The owner came out to take our order and I mentioned that I had ordered a gluten-free sub the previous week. She was excited to hear that I had enjoyed the sub. I ordered a different sub than the previous time and was just as pleased as the first time. When we were leaving she said she was going to add gluten-free subs to their menu! The entire experience, both times, was fantastic. The staff are all very friendly, and go that extra mile to accommodate your needs. I cant say enough about the staff, our server, Trevor was very friendly, and even stopped to say hello the next time we were in. Megan, the owner, was a joy to talk to, and seemed to be genuinely happy to meet my dietary needs. I can't wait to try their gluten-free pizza crust! Michael's is now "our"...
Read moreA year ago I would give 5 stars without hesitation. Today, I can only give 1 star. Each time we go it seems to get worse on many levels. Always told a certain time over the phone and then once arriving, having to wait an additional 10-15 minutes each time. Their prices have become ungodly expensive. Ordered a sub, one 10" cheese pizza, and two 12" specialty pizzas. $52 for three pizzas and a sub is ridiculous. Was told 20-30 minutes over the phone and waited 15 minutes after arriving at 30 minutes. One of the specialty pizzas I ordered was a buffalo chicken pizza and when I opened the box (at home), half of the pizza was nothing but air bubbles in the dough. That should have been fixed before even making it to a box. I called and explained and asked how they would fix it. The offered to remake if I came back to pick it up or give a credit. I asked that they remake it and deliver it since it was their mistake and they told me it would be over an hour. If you make a mistake, it should be first priority. especially when you're paying as much as you are for the little food you get. I was told they would credit the pizza of $18.10 (for a 12" pizza!!). We'll see if the credit is there if and when I order again. Truly sad though because I enjoyed their food. I'll be ordering from Champs and driving further from now on because Michaels...
Read moreVery disappointing. Yeah I know, it’s only food, get over it right? We’ve ordered here for many years, and it has been good but our latest order experience was bad, really bad. I went in for pick up, took it home and it wasn’t what we ordered. Ticket was correct, X-Large 2 topping but it was a Large 2 topping, and not the toppings we ordered. Yes my mistake for not looking at the pizza at pick up, and yes the box did look smaller than XLarge but didn’t exactly have a rule on me. Called to explain what happened, so manager asks if we wanted a remake, I say yes , so he says it will be ready in 20 mins. 20 mins later we return the wrong pizza and get ours, which turns out to be cold and obviously not a remake. One of the workers asks if we’re the mislabel order, and laughs as she says “my bad”. So they fed us bullish-t, made us wait 20 more minutes for our original order. Yeah I understand, first world problems, somebody call the Waahmbulance, people in Ukraine have bigger issues. Sorry, long week at work and we live 10 mins from Jacksontown. Won’t be ordering from here anymore, this review will probably seal the deal for receiving “special” orders...
