Where do I start?? š we have been eating here ever since we bought our house up the road it's only a five minute drive but oh my lord because we were unpacking our new home and everything was upside down and we were exhausted by the end of the day .. those of you who have been through it know what I mean the last thing you want to do is cook ! Well we went to Forks and we were hooked it's one of our top favourite places to eat at. If there were a ten star rating I'd give it a twenty plus ! The food is phenomenal their cook is a gem everything she sends out of that kitchen is piping hot and cooked to perfection which is hard to find these days ! The prices are really acceptable in todays economy for sure. So anyways I think we've just about nearly ate our way through the entire menu and there's no complaints! The pizzas are made to perfection along with the wings we just had the pierogi pizza and wings last night for dinner delicious! It's one of my absolute favourites. They also have different specials like all you can eat fish or something and the desserts are the bomb the carrot cake was the best. š the portions are extra generous you will be getting boxes to take home what you don't eat we always leave a box my crazy chihuahua Louie is always happy when we come home from there. Lol š as for the wait staff they have made us feel like family since we've known them they're always smiling and glad to see you they genuinely care about you and will ask you like for us how's the house coming along ? They remember things which is so nice š they're hard working people never standing around always taking care of the customers.. there's an ample parking lot they do get packed in the summer months more then usual as a lot of bikers and travellers etc stop in .. they have a big patio area with ceiling fans which is nice when it's particularly hot. They have music by various artists throughout the summer as well and it draws a crowd. All in all it's a good time at the Forks so stop in and say hello I don't feel you'd be disappointed at all. I'm posting different foods we have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time trying this place and over all itās definitely a wide range of guests. You have bikers to polos, which is good. Food was good and the atmosphere is welcoming. We went on a Sunday for dinner at 5. This place could easily be a 5 star for us, party of 4, if the service didnāt let it down. The staff is friendly but not sure whatās going on behind the scenes. We got our table and ordered our drinks. Two alcoholic beverages that we got werenāt as we ordered. A margarita and didnāt have salted ring and the waiter said the dipper was broken. Maybe say that before we get the drink. Another drink was a bourbon neat and it came over the rocks. So okay shit happens. Then some of our food came and we had to ask for silverware, they did apologize for that. We ordered very basic items. Pizza, salad and some handhelds. Pizza came out at the 30 minute mark and the rest of the food came out around the 45 minute mark and the salad was last to arrive. The waitress asked if the pizza was okay as I wasnāt eating it, I said I was waiting for my wifeās salad. She said yeah I donāt know what taking so long Iāll go check. By the time all the food came the pizza had got cold. I think itās rude to eat before my wife got her food. All in all the food was good. All in we were there a total of an hour and half. Not our doing itās just the speed of the place. By the time we left it was a lot less busy. So not sure whatās is going but definitely will go back to see if this was just a one time thing. As of now not a place for a quick...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped here on the recommendation of a friend, she's really a good friend, and so is this restaurant.
Somehow we missed this place on our first pass, but weee able to find it, thankfully. Rustic from the outside and very casual on the inside, we seated ourselves and were taken care of very quickly.
The menu is American-traditional with a few sport bar favorites. Both my wife and I had their smothered chicken after enjoying a salad and their onion rings for an appetizer. The everything was served fresh and hot (as would be the case) and we both enjoyed the food, very much so. Being this is Western PA, my wife had their chocolate gob for dessert whereas I went with the crème brûlée cheesecake- oh my how that was delicious.
Service was friendly and efficient and she liked to gab a little (which is always a plus in my book). We loved our experience so much we promised ourselves a return trip next summer when we could sit outside and have our meal amongst the trees.
If you're ever in Ligonier, be sure to stop in and give the...
