Light on The Corner — Restaurant in Lima

What a local gem! My friends and family will tell you I am really picky about food & atmosphere. You won’t believe when you step inside how absolutely adorable this place is. Was on a return visit to the area and friend suggested we lunch here. I was not at all disappointed. The food is a low key menu - but it is amazingly executed. The chicken salad - something I’d given up trying at restaurants- was truly the best I’ve ever had. The fresh bread it came on was out of this world. Brought a loaf home and it was gone within a couple days along with the yummy blackberry jam. Delicious! Good pricing. Friendly and attentive staff. The store has some great selections for gifts or just some unique items for your own home. Their purses were notable (a big compliment for someone who doesn’t carry a purse lol). A very refreshing change of pace from all of the loud, corporate chains and their poor service and product. Being a non-religious person, I still felt very comfortable and welcome. ...

Loved discovering this gem in Lima. The location feels odd, as it's off a main street and sits among houses on a corner. Any expectations you have fall away from the moment you walk in. It's comfortable, welcoming, quaint, friendly, and a great place to patron. We enjoyed a delicious hot coffee, an iced coffee, a homemade quiche, and one of the moist scones I've ever eaten. Both were delicious, and I'd go back for both. The staff, however, will make your visit worth it. So incredibly friendly. They are HAPPY you are there and so welcoming. They actually are invested in making sure you enjoy your visit. They even add a little extra and offer you a weekly Bible verse on a small piece of paper, if you choose to accept it. If you are looking for a small gift (a different type of coffeeshop gift card, candles, dish towels, faith-based books), want to sit and read a book off their bookshelf in the sitting area, or just want to sit and sip a coffee or eat a light snack, I highly recommend Light...

Everytime I'm in Lima visiting my family, Light on the Corner is always on my agenda to go. The food is absolutely phenomenal & there's so many great items to purchase such as biblical books, cook books, decor, and so much more that are wonderful keepsakes and gifts for others. The hospitality is God Pleasing. When you walk into the place you automatically feel the Peace of God & the Holy Spirit in the building. The name speaks for itself..... Light on the Corner.
