Barry Electronics Inc — Local services in Lima

A couple of weeks ago, I called to get a quote for the installation of a pair of 6x9 speakers and an in-dash stereo.

Originally, the person I spoke to seemed friendly. However, when I called back to let him know I was going to purchase all of my own equipment but still wanted to use barry electronics for the installation, I was cut off and told he was not interested if I was not buying the equipment from him since he was booked a month ahead already.

I can understand if he had a lot going on and the job wasn't worth it to him, but there was no reason to be short and rude when passing this information along to a potential customer.

The reason I planned to use barry electronics in the first place is because family and friends recommended them. I would have been happy to discuss a way for us to come to an agreement if it hadn't been for...

I bought this radio from them, and a buddy and I installed it, but the thing I really liked about this place is they didn’t pressure me into a certain radio, and just by talking to me, explaining the different radio’s I ended up buying one that was an upgrade from the one I was looking at originally. on top of that, they had everything in stock, including the dash kit, I called them with questions during install and they were more than willing to answer any questions I had, just an overall good experience. My great grandmother called for a quote on a remote starter. $149 was the price she was given. When she asked for the FINAL price she was once again given $149. After the installation, her price is $249. Quite a bit more. I called on her behalf and spoke to Mr Barry himself. His response was, "Your grandmother must have been confused.". Are you kidding me?? Praying on the elderly and defending their actions by degrading them. I called to find out where the problem came from and I quickly found it.
