No ambiance music so you can hear every word of your neighbors conversations. Beef tips were nice to look at but didn't taste like juicy beef only taste was of the accompanying peppers, Texas roadhouse beef tips blow this place out of the water! What looks like cream soup in the second image 🤮 was supposed to be $26 Lobster Alfredo, only one decent chunk of lobster on the entire plate the rest were shreds over loaded w sauce and one Very Hard bread stick. The lettuce in the salad had pink here and there 🤢 I ordered a lemonade but it was undrinkable ( pure sugar) so I ordered a wine instead ( because they can't really mess that up straight out of a bottle) , the wine was the best part of the experience. The waitress left the undrank lemonade sitting on the edge of the table the entire meal , never asked if anything was wrong w it and charged for both drinks. We rented Gillmors event room for a wedding this past weekend and Lisa, the waitress who magically made it all happen for a room of 50 guests, was AMAZING! She not only assisted me happily through all of my silly questions, waited on all of us for 3 hours with a smile and without any hesitation or judgement helped me with some wedding errands at the very last moment...which by the way was not part of her job.... made the utmost difference in a wonderfully successful wedding day. I personally have organized no less than 20 different events over a lifetime and Gilmores staff went above and beyond for us. They are by far the best in the event business in the area. We were denied service. We arrived at the restaurant more than an hour before closing as a party of 7 adults and two children. We were told they had no tables available (we could clearly see several empty tables) and wouldn’t have for an hour and since they were closing at 7:00, they could not accommodate us. I’m not sure if this was a staffing shortage or if they just didn’t want to deal with a large group for dinner at 6:00. We have had several positive experiences at Gillmor’s but were very disappointed in this one and probably will not be back. If they were experiencing staffing problems and had explained that to us, we would have understood that, but telling us they had no tables when they clearly did, leaves a bad taste in our mouths.
