I went to this restaurant a while ago with my boyfriend after locking myself out of my house. We decided to go out to eat instead of waiting for my roommate to get home and let us inside. Neveria Arcoiris is just a short walk from my house near Memorial Stadium. My boyfriend and I sat at the corner table by the mirror and waited to be served. The restaurant has a clear sign on the front door asking all customers to wear face masks due to Covid-19, and the staff appeared to follow these guidelines.
Inside, there is a happy and homey feel due to the natural light coming through the windows and the Spanish channels playing on the television. Though we went to eat at dinner time, the small restaurant was not crowded, and a waitress gave us menus and asked us what we wanted to drink fairly quickly, which made me feel cared for. While we waited, we were also given chips and salsa. I looked around at the decorations inside and saw multiple fun Husker football murals painted on the walls.
The menus have Spanish and English translations of every item, and the prices are excellent for the portion sizes. I ordered a burrito with green sauce, and it took up all of the space on the large plate it came on. The restaurant allows you to take food to go, and they also have a great selection of desserts. They have a variety of unique ice cream flavors (superman, bubblegum, mango, pistachio, etc), four or five different cone sizes (you can also get a dish), and more great portion sizes. At this restaurant, we were not given a bill. We walked up to the front counter once we were finished eating, and the waitress remembered what we ordered and gave us our total there. They accept cash as well as a variety of credit and debit card options.
Overall, I rate this restaurant very highly and will definitely be...
Read moreWe dined in on Easter Sunday 4/9/23 at noon. We had the Carne Asada, Enchiladas Michoacanas and Dos Tamales De Pollo (substituted with Pork). I believe we know tasty Mexican food and we prefer authentic. Grew up with it in TX and seek out Mexican restaurants and cafes north of the Red River. Folks this is a "must stop" if you're in the area. I prefer great food versus some cafe interior with the latest decor. If you're a purest, then this is your place. The meal was fresh and a delight to the taste buds. Prices were appropriate. If you leave Lincoln without trying this place, you messed up. If you live in Lincoln and have not tried this place, there is no excuse. We will be back for another meal. Great job by the folks at...
Read moreWe’ve been going here for a few years and it is our go to spot for Mexican in Lincoln. Nothing fancy here, just good food and service. FYI: They do not sell any alcohol.
Always clean, friendly, quick, and delicious. Asada Torta is todays order for me, my wife is a #33 grande asada quesadilla w/ refried beans and rice. Both are so good! Plus chips and salsa served straight away. I’ve never had bad food here - ever.
After your full and still have leftover for later, grab a piece of tres leche cake or a scoop of ice cream for the road. Always tasty.
Sundays are usually busy busy. We usually go for lunch and often there is a good crowd of folks. Easy parking out front is super...
