Bob Devaney Sports Center — Local services in Lincoln

The sports center is great. Clean and the pool is immaculate. Rating at a 2 because every year they force 100s of swimmers and fans to share a single men’s and women’s bathroom (there are only two stalls in the women’s bathroom). The swimmers are also not allowed to use the changing rooms so you have everyone in a line trying to change and/or go to the restroom.

There is a gymnastics meet that will begin to be setup at 11 our meet began at 8 ( warmups around 7) but the bathrooms were blocked off upon our arrival. The track bathrooms are also blocked off yet no one is using the track so color me clueless as to why those restrooms are blocked off - they claim they just don’t want anyone on the track.

It’s to the point where I honestly don’t want to attend this particular meet just so I don’t have to deal with forcing my 5 year to hold it in a line of 10 or more people. I was quite tempted to let him potty on the floor next to one of the sentinels watching the doors to the other bathrooms or even take him outside to let him water the various shrubbery around the property. I’m now having to ration his fluid intake to try and limit how soon he’ll have to go potty again.

Awesome humbling experience for my daughter and me. 2022 and 2023 volleyball camps were absolutely fantastic! We are huge Nebraska fans and it meant everything for us to drive 7 hours to learn from the whole volleyball team at each and every camp. They are the most caring hands on women and help each player with advice and actually show them how it should be done. The Husker Volleyball coaching staff and assistants are SO VERY GOOD! We plan on attending the next summer, which will be my daughters last summer since she will be a senior. Her life long dream is to play college volleyball. Preferably for the Huskers! I know the skills and drills they worked on will help her in making a dream come true. If not for the Husker, then for a great college elsewhere. This complex offers swimming, diving, track, wrestling, volleyball and other things too. They have high level security. A customer relations office for all needs. Not only do you have practice and meets for University affairs but they have Olympic Coaches and night sessions teaching swimming a diving for those kids needing to practice in the Winter. There are also competitive meets for all age groups in the swimming and diving clubs. Complete bus access as well. This location is directly next to the Ice box where our Lincoln stars practice and have their Hockey Games. And is where our Volleyball games are at as well.
