Holly Lake Donuts — Restaurant in Lindale

We visited this donut shop for the first time a couple weeks ago while visiting my parents, and it is unlikely we will return. The staff was very nice, but there were flies all in the donut cases because of the drive thru window. I’m talking, 10 flies just walking all over the donuts and kolaches. Pretty disgusting.

The cases are right under the window so I’m sure it’s hard keeping them from coming in, but maybe the owners could install something that would close off the casing from the back, like a sliding door on the case so that it’s harder for the flies to get in.

I’m sure I’ve eaten my fair share of food walked in by flies, but seeing it first hand was enough to turn me off...

We love this place! I have never been disappointed coming here and the lady has always been so polite and accommodating in filling our large orders for a lot of kids being homeschooled once a week down the road. We will always come back and have let our friends know all about this shop. The food is always fresh and delicious! Thank you for making our mornings worth the drive all of us take...

Have been going here 3 years since moving here. Loved their donuts, would stop once to twice a month. Yesterday bought 6 donuts, all have light rancid taste like old oil, new person behind counter, had hard time understanding what I wanted, alittle language barrier I think. Never saw him him before, maybe new owners, heard baby crying in back, said guess you have your family here...
