Just had dinner here, we're local and fairly frequent diners at this spot. It's not much for atmosphere though purple tin type ceilings is a small town fave and chandelier type lighting is unique. Food is fresh and usually quick to bring. Top Shelf MARGARITA (*recommend) is prepared very well here though regular margaritas are usually weak, and not my recommendation. I get Top Shelf usually which is large and strong. Fajita Salad was a Hit recently (Sept.2022) with plenty of skirt steak, guacamole, white queso, and my requested sliced avocados. About $9 I think. SERVICE is either very attentive or 'just learning' (new or young -not sure which, maybe both) this past year. Recent waitress was charming, pleasant, and caring. She went out of her way with recommendations from the menu and arranged side veggies for me graciously. Usually we split FAJITAS or have house specials. Coffee can be good but not topped off at the table to keep warm, often, in our experience. HOT SAUCE with chips seemed to change recently and is a thicker spicier sauce now that was great! Still hot sauce but not thin picante...it's Excellent. Small town Mex is a go-to for a tiny town with very few...
Read moreI wish I could say I loved this spot, but really I only loved the employee's and the fact that there's a take one leave one library inside. The food wasn't impressive, a full order of nachos consisted of 10 chips for $8, but it had nice chunks of chicken and a bunch of cheese and I wasn't expecting the scoop of guacamole on the side too, but I was expecting more than 3 shreds of lettuce... lol! We were given an entire togo drink cup full of salsa for the giant bag of chips that came with it, but the salsa was barely a step up from red enchilada sauce, so not impressive in the least. I got a stomach ache immediately after eating 4 of the nachos, a couple hours later i tried some chips with salsa and queso and again got a stomach ache, so im really hoping it was just my stomach, but I definitely can't...
Read moreThey say best Mexican food in town... No joke! Being that it's the only Mexican food in town that I know of, they sure do an excellent job. Very impressed with the service and extremely fast food prep. I did catch them before the rush though, in full transparency. Fantastic enchiladas and chile relleno. Chips and salsa were surprisingly good. The flavor of the sauces atop the enchiladas were outstanding. The queso sauce didn't taste like it was out of a can. As I'm sure y'all know what I mean by that statement. Not sure if everything they make is from scratch... But it sure tasted like it. Very impressed, Linden should be proud to have this restaurant here. I'll be going back as often as I can. Tip these servers good, they deserve it after my experience. Excellent service,...
