Smiley's Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Lisbon

Place just opened and for now we will not be going back until they can figure a few things out. They have 2 windows and as you walk up it is unclear if they are both for ordering, or one for pickup. When we got there, there was about 15 people in line. I initially thought it must be good with all these people. Well after waiting about 15min we ordered our ice cream. My wife got a milkshare(not the thick version) and she was unable to use a straw and it was very gritty. I ordered the coffee chip, I received coffee ice cream, and when I asked if it was correct, the 16 year old girl said I was all set. Had to point out that there were no chips in my coffee chip. Had do wait another few min for her to get more. Both tasted pretty bad.

One other small thing that was just annoying , she gave me my credit card back covered in ice cream.

I don't think we will be back this season, will make the drive to fielder's choice. Maybe next season they will have made some...

We got a Banana split, Sunday, and a blizzard mixed type in a cup. Servings are VERY SMALL for the price you pay. The add ins for mixing with ice cream are all freezer burnt taste or very stale. Ice cream all tasted like ice water with a little hint of maybe what you ordred. I couldn't make out the chocolate in the chocolate blizzard type I ordered. More like they take white soft serve or their own ice cream ice flakes and didnt add enough chocolate syrup to the flavoring part. Everything is pretty much diabetic and low fat falvors,which you can get elsewhere. Hope it changes or they won't make it with the small servings of non flavored ice flakes....

Easy to access location, right on the main drag. Plenty of parking and they even have a drive through. The ice cream is home made and tastes out of this world. Huge selection of flavors and the prices are nice. I've never had to wait long as the service is quick, but this place is worth a wait as the ice cream is just that good. Fast friendly staff, selling quality ice cream products at very reasonable prices...what more could you ask for? Smiley's is well worth a trip, you won't be...
