Burger City — Restaurant in Lisle

My hubby and I were out in this area today so we decided to try something new and we were so glad we picked this place. We got the portobello burger and the egg burger (but exchanged the cheese for cheddar because it just makes everything better, which this was not a problem.) We cut these in half and split them so we could each try and we both were so satisfied with these burgers. Probably some of the best damn burgers we've ever had honestly. Cooked to perfection with great sear but still juicy. The portobello mushroom was just perfect and huge. The buns were fresh and not stale at all. The egg burger had a Chipotle ranch on it that was sooo good!! I wanted to buy a bottle. The burgers were pretty big in size too, so recommend ordering a single until you know how much you eat.

We also ordered a small 6pc order of the garlic parm wings just to try. They were cooked super crispy, definitely pan fried, but without being super oily/greasy. (We love this style) The sauce is clearly house-made, and SO good. I was actually dipping my portobello burger in the garlic parm sauce that was left over. Oh! And decent sized wings too. Sometimes you get tiny sized wings for ridiculous price.

We did have to try some fries as well; burgers and fries, they just go together. So we got the Cajun ones. The seasoning was delicious but damn you have to like and be able to tolerate a kick. I'm not saying it'll kill you by any means...but they are not for the weak stomached. That seasoning would be amazing on wings though! It reminds me of the Chipotle BBQ rub at BWW, but not exact and definitely spicier, more flavor as well.

Anyway... sorry we didnt get any photos this time around, we were too busy inhaling our food it was so good. Definitely go check them out if you haven't!! I know we'll be going back for sure, even with ridiculous gas prices and...

Burger City exceeded my expectations.

I got the standard cheeseburger for a baseline experience, but there's a decent array of stuff that looks solid. Fries were very well made, they had a nice crispness with a near molten quality inside. Burger was a 1/3 lb burger, they didn't ask about toppings, and I ended up with ketchup, mayo, red onion, tomato and lettuce. It looked surprisingly nice. It may help it was the first day, but it was a good burger. It also got served to me quicker than I expected, like I thought maybe they gave me someone else's on accident. I also figured I'd try the Three Milk Cake they had listed on the menu in store, they were out. It was the first day, certainly. The cashier lady pushed the chocolate cake noting it was very moist (and it was) and it went over very well with my family (who in this case had already eaten and just had some of my fries and cake).

I'm hopeful that one day they have grilled onions as an option (if they don't already and I didn't notice) and that they perhaps get the Merkt's Cheese Spread as an option for the burgers/fries, as I find that to be the sign of a better hot dog/burger place (see U Dawg U or Paradise Pup). I'm also hopeful they get their website updated.

Anyway, it was good, and this meal has probably made me the most excited for a new restaurant opening in Lisle for...

The burgers here are so delicious and great! As well as their other comfort foods. You can find anything good here and all the food that can really satisfy your cravings. Their choices here are so huge, they have so big variety of different food, and all of it are so reasonably priced. They are so fair in terms of pricing. This place is actually the best burger spot I have ever been to. Their place is such a paradise! Full of wonderful people and awesome food. No wonder why many people keep coming back at this place again and again. They are so worth visiting. Their staff here are so nice, friendly, and decent. They are willing to help and assist all of their customers. They are so professional and very accommodating. They all made the experience so much better than other stores around. They are very personable staff. This place has an outstanding service. That is the reason why lots of their customers really love their place. Their place is great with such excellent service, as well as neat people to be with and highlighted with high quality mouth-watering foods. Definitely going back here again if ever I had my free time! Thank you for the awesome experience! Keep up the good work guys! Kudos! ...
