Lucky Wok Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lisle

So Sad!!!! A few years back, we wanted to cater Chinese for a huge party. We sampled 5 different places in the area and Lucky Wok won. They used to give ridiculously hugh portions and tons of meat!! The containers were popping open- had to be stapled shut. We haven't been there in a few months. We ordered tonight and what a shame! Then we found out- NEW OWNERS!!! I went in and didn't recognize anyone. I know something was up bc they wouldn't take my Discover card (we have spent $$$thousands there catering over the last few years). I got home and the containers were smaller. The salt and pepper chicken was 3/4 full , hard as a rock/all breading and inedible bc it was so salty. The Combo lo mein WAS ALL NOODLES. It had 2 pieces of beef and 2 shrimp. The Peking fried rice was flavorless and had no meat- lots of pineapples though. The egg foo young used to be the size of sewer caps. They were half the size. We spent over $70- noticed all of the prices went up also. The General Chicken was small, hard and all breading. I called and the women was arguing with me- telling me the new owner has over 30 years of restaurant experience in California- there's the problem right there :-) We were going to cater with them for a huge party this Summer. I have been coming here for years and the food is not the same anymore I believe they have new owners. I am really disappointed because they were the best and now the quality has changed. They are more skimpy and the sauces are more watery. I now have to find somewhere else to go. Why do things have to change and get worse. I decided to try them again to see if anything has changed and it is worse. I bought my sweet and sour chicken and they changed the sauce and added few vegetables and that was my favorite. They forgot my egg rolls with my order and I bought the combo dinner and there was more rice than entree. No more they are finished it is a shame. If I were you I would search elsewhere even if you have to drive further. I decided to go back and now the food is worse no flavor to any of it. I've been ordering carry out from Lucky Wok for at least 8 years. The last 4 times I've ordered, there have been issues. We've had mission items and terrible food! We had a large order for a birthday party, and the XL fried rice was dark brown from being overcooked and way too much soy sauce added to the dish; it tasted bad. We ordered 2 LG orders of Orange Chicken, which is a spicy dish, and it had no spice to it! I called and complained, and after arguing with one of the owners, I finally got a credit for the 3 items. I picked up food today and received my free items. They got the fried rice but the Orange Chicken still didn't have any spice to it! I called the owner, and she said the items were checked and were spicy. They weren't even close! I asked her if there were new owners which she confirmed that they were new owners. Tonight was the last order I'll be getting from Lucky Wok! They are inconsistent and do not care...
