McDonald's — Restaurant in Lisle

Very late on a Friday Evening, after having a nice and more, shall we say formal dinner, out with friends we were passing by the Walmart-anchored massive shopping shopping strip which also has a wedding banquet hall in it called The Abington (name ONLY ONLY for specificity and guarantee of accuracy in levying my claims).

We pulled up to the McDonald’s Drive up with the real desire for Mc flurry’s. The McDonald’s equivalent of a Dairy Queen blizzard. Or as close as it gets anyway. And so, when unclear mumblings came out of the speaker I had to ask for a gentleman to repeat himself a few times before I could make out that he was asking if he could help me. So to that, I asked what desserts they had. To him, a stupid question. To me, something I’ve grown used to in establishments like McDonald’s not having what’s on their menu. So again I asked, “What desserts do you have on your menu?” He BLURTED BACK, “VANILLA!” I paused for a couple of seconds and then asked, “Do you have ANY desserts BESIDES vanilla OR EVEN THAT USE VANILLA? I KNEW THE ANSWER! And I also STRONGLY suspected by the tone of his voice that he was the kind of THUG who was going to “reward me by spitting in my ice cream” (or worse!! ....and you know it) Before putting it in my excited hands. SOO WE ALL DECIDED AGAINST ORDERING AT ALL and drove away. However, I did get in one last important question: I asked him, “Don’t you have McFlurry‘s tonight that use “Vanilla” don’t you have “Sundays” tonight that use “Vanilla”, don’t you make tons of “Vanilla Milk Shakes” and lots and lots of other “Milk Shakes” that start out with Vanilla Ice Cream??” And don’t you also use “Vanilla Ice Cream Cones” to then create “Chocolate Hard Shell Cones”?

I asked most of these questions before “tough guy” TOOK OVER and Intimidated his way His answer was an angry, “YEAH, so then WHY’D YOU ASK?” I responded, “Because we we came for Ice Cream and mistakenly THOUGHT we could come here with the expectation that we’d be treated in a non threatening way. In a pleasant way! But now NO ONE in here wants anything’s from you except to tell your franchise owner how you represent HIM.” ........from there we LEFT, NOT to be disrespected...

I used to come here but I stop because EVERY time I ordered it was wrong, burnt, or cold. So I I started just coming for the dollar drinks because I am on the go so much. Can you believe that could not even get one simple drink correct. So said to myself ok maybe they were haveing a bad day or they were new I try to give second chances but I got wrong drinks over again and again. To the point that I have to sip them be for I leave the window. Which yes does hold up the line but I a.m. a paying customer that has been screwed over to many times. This particular McDonald's has gone done hill over the years I have live hear since be for they opened that should tell you I have had experience here. Now I only stop hear if I have to and never leave the parking area until I check to make sure is what I ordered and correct ect. Sad very SAD I now a majority if the time like I would say 95% or more of the time go to Burger king they get it right all the time and there drinks are bigger love it. That is what such bad service at this Glen Ellyn store off of butterfield and 53 has driven me to Burger King I like there...

Placed order from app at 9:30PM after confirming that the store was open until 11:30PM. Went to pick up. Door locked. So I went to the drive-thru and the girl at the window tells me they did not receive an order. Than another guy comes and asked for the code after seeing the receipt and after I asked him what am I supposed to do when I already placed order and paid. I even got the notification the order could no longer be canceled. Then the girl tells me to come in 5 minutes because they're just making the order, and that I couldn't come from the counter because it's closed. I go to pickup in 5 minutes, again the same. They can not give me the order I paid for because 'they haven't received it' and both employees go on and discuss her new...
