Paisans Pizzeria & Bar — Restaurant in Lisle

This was our second time at Paisan's Pizzeria & Bar restaurant in a short period of time. The first fairly recent visit, was because we finally made it here after years of passing Paisan's on occasion and always saying, "we need to try this place sometime", but it is farther from home than our normal travel paths when eating out, so out of sight out of mind. Well, we are glad to have finally remembered to try Paisan's and for us it will not be out of mind anymore! We enjoyed their regular crust pizza on our first visit and tiramisu for dessert. This second visit was more recent to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. This time we tried other main dishes along with their thin crust pizza - just to see which thickness we preferred for a future visit. I think we all preferred the thin crust! Paisan's Famous Kicked-up Nacho were delicious and we feel the best we've had at any restaurant!!! Our waiter, Levar, was super pleasant and smiling!!! To us, this is so important as they are serving us at our table and thereby representing the hospitality of the restaurant and forming our opinion on service and our overall opinion of whether or not to return. The restaurant was full at 8pm of many others who were enjoying the weekend too! We definitely plan to return in the future to try more of their dishes. Our daughter had the Rice Bowl with chicken with some tortillas, I had Nonna's lasagna, my husband had their Award Winning Baby Back Ribs, our one son had a Big Mama's Meatballs sandwich and our other son had their Ape Hanger burger... and we had...

I've been driving past this place for quite some time now and picked it as the place to celebrate my birthday with my wife, our daughter and my friends and their kids.

I really liked how it looked from the outside and it's always packed later in the day, so I figured this place had to be good! Once inside today I was blown away! Hardwood floors, exposed pipes and an awesome dragster hanging from the ceiling, as well as a custom motorcycle and memorabilia all around but a tasteful amount. We had a good size group but the booths are 3 couple comfortable, a rare thing for sure.

It is a Pizzeria but I had pizza last night so decided to try the ribs and fries...awesome choice! They were between falling off the bone and peeling them off of the bone.. perfect! The fries are placed under the ribs and they are steak fries. The ribs stayed hot the entire time, not sure how they do that but It was amazing! For an appetizer we had their wings and these are a MUST! Big, meaty and juicy, none of them were soggy but rather had that crunch. I had a 12 count with half Dragon and half spicy Parmesan garlic. The Dragon flavor was a combo of sweet and spicy, the sweet wins out here and the SPG were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had to back off on the wings because I wanted to leave room for my lunch, had too many wings and brought back some ribs for dinner tonight.

Because it was my birthday we had a cake but they have incredible deserts and are going to be tried next time for sure. So in closing if you want to try and really great place with a vibe and great...

So I usually don’t write bad reviews and I frequent your restaurant quite often but this last visit was just terrible. If I go to a restaurant and spend $60 I want my moneys worth. I went out tonight with my family and we ordered an xl pizza some sodas and an appetizer. At first our server was great she engaged with my four year old and even went out of her way to get him chocolate milk. But after that interaction she just stopped checking on us. Then the pizza came and it was the wrong size. Maybe she didn’t hear me and I was fine with that we didn’t touch it she took it back and we had to wait but she had the kitchen remake it. But again she didn’t check on us. I ordered a soda and so did my boyfriend. I didn’t get a single refill and he only got one because when the kitchen staff brought out our pizza he asked him for the refill cause again our server didn’t even come near the table. Fast forward to when it’s time to pay she brings me the bill and I debate whether or not to even tip cause at this point she didn’t bother to come to the table. I finish signing the paper and leave a couple dollars on the table and no sooner than I set it down she goes and grabs it. I just felt like you couldn’t provide us with good service but you couldn’t wait to get your hands on the tip. I work in the customer service industry and this visit was just such a disappointment.
