The moment that first bite hit my lips, I had to pause—eyes closed, soul awakened—because THIS was the kind of cooking that takes you straight home, even if you didn’t know you were missing one. And if you have / had a big momma, you know what I'm talking about. If you’ve ever had the honor of dining at Sylvia’s in Harlem like I have, then you already know the standard I’m talking about. And let me tell you, this place delivers.

The fried pork chop, cat fish and chicken wings? Crispy, seasoned to perfection, and so juicy it had me doing a happy dance in my seat (my sister and bestie know what this means). The collard greens? Slow-cooked with love and just the right amount of kick. And don’t even get me started on the mac & cheese—baked, creamy, and straight-up sinful in the best way possible.

Don’t even get me started on that melt in your mouth pound cake that set my whole soul on 🔥 🫠

Beyond the food, the vibe is everything. Warm smiles, a family feel, some great conversation with the son of the woman who made it all happen, and a space that welcomes you like you’re an old friend coming back for Sunday dinner. This is a black-owned gem that deserves all the love and support because they are putting heart, history, and some serious soul into every single plate.

So first of all, none of the prices that are online are correct. They have increased their prices by about 50% from what is being advertised. We placed a group order with my job. We got there and realized that our total was a lot higher than any price we could find for their food. Upon receiving my food, I realize that there was an eggshell cooked into my cornbread. The person picking up our food, called us from the restaurant, and we were rudely spoken from the employee who Was saying that they did not have to explain their price changes, And we could use some thing “just cancel the order” We were not trying to cancel the order. We just spent Over $80 in their establishment and it apparently was not appreciated...
